Saitama collapses, gripping the worst wounds and recovering his strength. Man... this guy is pretty dangerous, but he's definitely been more hurt than this...
After a while he hauls himself to his feet, and picks up Sonic, surprised that he's so light. At least that makes it easier for them to make it to the hospital!
Sonic's under extreme lockdown and he's strapped to the bed. Saitama's requested to be in the same room and they argued with him for ages but eventually gave in, too exhausted and admitting that yes, the empty bed in that room wouldn't be filled otherwise...]
[Sonic isn't really surprised that he wakes up strapped down. It wasn't the first time it had happened, and it probably wouldn't be the last. Mostly, he was just surprised he woke up at all. He couldn't figure out in what universe letting the homocidal maniac survive was a good idea.]
[Bluh, only a Hero would think to save the person trying to kill him]
You didn't, though. You could've, but you didn't want to give up the fun of fighting me. Even if you were a creep and were gonna torture me, you didn't just take me out.
[Sonic looks away, scowling and clenching his hands into fists at his sides. If he wasn't strapped down...]
I'm not at all like you. It's not just about the fight, I wanted to watch you squirm and scream and suffer before I finished you off. [he looked back over, brow furrowed and teeth bared] I'm evil. I'm too dangerous to leave alive. What do I have to do to make you see that?
Are you seriously just going to sit there and play dumb? I kill people! For money! I enjoy hurting people! Just because I can! I swear to God, Saitama, do I have to KILL Genos for you to finally take me seriously?
Why? Why?! Why does anyone do anything? Because I want to do it! Because this world is terrible! [he snarls, slamming his head back against the bed - not that it does much. He thrashes around, straining against his bonds, not so much because he wants free, but more because he feels like he has to move] Because I hate everyone, they're all so pathetic, milling around stuffing their faces, getting fat like pigs waiting to be slaughtered! They're sheep! People are sheep, thoughtless and afraid, cowering behind things like morality and the Hero Association because they can't be bothered to protect themselves. Why should I care for them? Why shouldn't I profit from their deaths? No one on this planet is worth anything!
[He takes a deep breath, arching his back sharply, then drops back down to the bed, staring at the ceiling with an empty expression on his face] Except, I suppose, for you.
[Hmm. Saitama's quiet for a bit, just watching Sonic flip his lid. This guy needs therapy.]
You sound like a lot of the monsters. All of them are so obsessed with whether or not people can fight, but that can't be everyone's hobby. There'll be guys that take it too seriously and people will get hurt.
[He shrugs and scratches at one of the bandages on his face.]
I didn't get strong to protect myself. I got strong because it was fun. You're worrying too much about other people and you're not ignoring them and doing stuff you like instead.
I sound like a monster? Wow, I had no idea. [if his eyes rolled any harder, they'd fall out of his head] It's almost as if I'm a bad guy.Oh wait.
Ugh. You just... You just don't get it, do you? [he shakes his head] What I like is hurting people. Why? I don't know, because it's fun. Because I like the look of fear on their faces as I stand over them, knowing that I am going to be their end. I like knowing that I am powerful and there is nothing anyone can do to stop me. Except you.
No. It's because you're a Hero. Heroes always believe in things like that. But I'm a villain, and I have grown up in a world made of suffering and disappointment. It's all I know, and there's nothing you can do to convince me otherwise.
Ugh. [If only he could facepalm right now, because he would really like to] It's not that we live in different worlds, it's that we view the same world differently. You see only the good, I see only the bad, two sides of the same coin, blah blah blah. Look, if you're trying to talk me into becoming a good guy or whatever, you're wasting your breath. Change can only happen when you want it to happen, and I don't want to change.

You really should have killed me.

I didn't have to, so I completely won.

[...]
Or kinda suffer, I guess. Depends on how weird you are with them.
