[The one eager to please.]

It was one of those rare weeks where nothing supernaturally crazy was going on in Scott's life. He wasn't holding his breath but so far the biggest challenge was his midterm at the end of the week. While he was sitting down at his lunch table, he noticed a presence and his heart sank.

That was until his eyes settled on the pretty girl a few tables away. She was sitting alone and he didn't remember seeing her before. After debating for a whole twenty seconds, he got up approached her. He gave a warm smile and asked, "Are you saving this seat?" He motioned towards the one across from hers.

New school. She can do this, no problem. She's a good student and fits in just about anywhere. Never mind that she's come all the way out here to get away from the memories of her Da.... Nope. New school. She's okay.

Now, this new school was unique in that there were several wolves of the were variety attending. Or at least one. She'd even chosen this area because a True Alpha (!) is out here.

A True Alpha! She can't believe it. So, that's why she's here: to join the pack of a True Alpha.

... OMG HE IS TALKING TO HER. Right, play it cool Brigid, you can do this. She blinks out of staring at him for a few moments and clears her throat. "No, please, join me?" Right, that's the right thing to say, she thinks. And at least it didn't squeak.

Scott could hear her heartbeat quicken with excitement, but he didn't know why it was happening. It could just be nerves for meeting someone new or maybe she found him attractive. It could be a lot of different things. Sitting down, he internally went through a couple ways to bring up the fact he could tell she wasn't human. None of them sounded very good.

"So you're uh.. you're new here?" Or he could avoid the topic completely. That worked too.

The True Alpha is talking to her. She tries to calm her heartbeat down, but is failing at it. He's kinda adorable too. She had tried to meet him, but the vet hadn't wanted to tell him just yet, even if she had immediately presented herself for vetting.

She's glad he doesn't immediately start off with how they're both werewolves. That would be an awkward conversation.

"Just started today." She admits. "I'm from Boston." Like he cares, really. "That's not going to be a problem is it?" She asks, biting her bottom lip. She doesn't want to intrude on territory, but she also doesn't want to go back to Boston.

Deaton had an odd habit of giving Scott some information and then withholding other information. It kept Scott guessing just what the man knew and wasn't sharing.

He looked confused at her question. "Why would being from Boston be a problem?" He thought through the research Stiles and Lydia had done when he was still very new to being a werewolf but nothing jumped out at him as 'keep away from werewolves from Boston'. So he figured it was fine.

She finds him utterly adorable. She can't believe he's an Alpha. "No, I meant... being what we are?" Brigid asks tentatively. She is outing herself and knows it, but that's fine. He's the True Alpha, he already knows what she is. "This is your territory and I just... showed up." Some alphas didn't like that, she knew.

Especially from someone with blue eyes, rather than the normal beta amber.

She braces her chin on her hand. "HAven't you talked to the vet?" She knows that he's the contact person for the pack, and had immediately talked to him. "Dr. Beaton? Deaton? I'm sorry, I can't remember his name."

Oh! Well, now he knew how to breach the subject, he'd just let her do it. Without realizing he was doing it, his eyes glowed red for a second. If she'd needed any sort of confirmation, that was it.

He was surprised she'd gone to Deaton first, but not that Deaton hadn't told him. "No, I am scheduled to work for him tonight so he probably was just waiting on that."

He rubbed the back of his neck, considering how to respond to her other statement. "I guess I should ask what you're planning on doing now that you're here." That was the right wolf territory response, right?

She curls back a little at the reminder of the Alpha power that this boy now wields. Her own eyes flash bright blue. She blinks it away, looking away from the Alpha. She's not proud of having blue eyes, instead of beta amber.

The question makes her uncomfortable. "I..." She bites her bottom lip for a moment, worrying it between her teeth. "I came out here to join you." She finally admits softly, her fingers toying with the paper napkin under her hand.

"My Da died, and my... uncle didn't know what to do with me. I left when I heard that... you were here." A True Alpha. She still can't believe he's talking to her. "I spoke with the vet, because he's the emissary. I didn't know how else to find you."

Scott saw the color of her eyes and frowned. He knew what that meant and wondered just what kind of past she'd had. He knew Derek's story, so it wasn't an automatic 'out'. Things happened in the past didn't define them in the present completely and people could change, these were things he believed in strongly. The only person he'd yet to be okay with was Peter and he was very skeptical that man had done any changing. The real problem was, he didn't know this girl and she wanted in his pack. He didn't know what to do with that.

"No, that's okay. Deaton's a good way to find me," he said, trying to help her be less nervous. "Were you born this way or was there an alpha that bit you?"

Brigid's eyes are blue due to tragedy in her life and crushing guilt. She'll gladly share the story if Scott asks.

She relaxes a little when he says that the emissary is the way to find him. Honestly, she's running on some old rules that she read once. She wants this to go okay.

"Born." She says immediately. "My Da was bitten by our Alpha's father when he was in the Marines." To save his life. "You were bitten?" Because that's normally how it works. True Alphas are rare, but usually bitten. "I was raised in a pack, if you ever want to know what that's like?"

Scott nodded as she talked, both because he was listening and to answer her question. "Yeah, it's been about two years since I was bitten." God had it really only been two years? After everything he'd gone through it felt like a lifetime ago. "I wouldn't mind hearing about that, yeah. One of my friends- Derek- was born too but he's pretty tight lipped about stuff."

He wasn't sure if it was a bad thing or not, but he had no idea what he was supposed to ask her besides just getting to know her. It was still amazing to him that he was so special when so much of his life he was anything but. "Normally the rest of my pack is here for lunch but Stiles got detention and Lydia's working on a science project.. I think." He hadn't paid enough attention to what she said earlier. "I don't know where Isaac is."

Her eyes widen. "Only two years, and you're already...?" She can't believe the strength of character that takes to ascend so quickly. She really hopes that he's in full control of his abilities - the Alpha ones at least. That she can't help with.

"I can't wait to meet them." He's making it sound as if she's already accepted. She actually gets her hopes up. She'd gone Omega, against her former Alpha's wishes, to come here. "Are they all wolves?" She asks. In her former pack, there'd been wolves and humans.
