THE HELPING HAND MEME




Grab a die and roll for (or simply choose) a scenario, then post with your character, fandom, and a predicament that your character needs a hand with!

1) Stranded!
You're stuck somewhere! Your car broke down, your bike lost a wheel, your bi-plane was dismantled by ninja bears, you were chased up a tree by protesters. Somebody help!

2) Stumped!
You've got a mystery on your hands! A murder? A missing pet? Someone ate the cookies from the cookie jar? Anything! But you're going to need a hand to find out who did it!

3) Museless!
Your project isn't going well, writers/artists/inventors block has you banging your head against a wall! Won't someone come along and be your muse, or even just help you take a break for a while?

4) Overwhelmed!
You're overburdened! You're carrying more groceries than you can hold onto, staring at a huge pile of paperwork, your car is buried under more snow than you could move in a lifetime, everything just went wrong at once! You can't do this all by yourself!

5) Injured!
You've fallen and you can't get up, you stepped on a rake, you fell down the stairs, your arm is stuck in a vending machine. You'll be okay, probably, but ow that really hurt! You could use a hand patching up!

6) Wildcard!
Pick any of the above or something totally different, as long as your character could really do with an extra person to help them out!

[ Lucy'd been staring at the sheets of paper in front of her for hours, but nothing was coming to her. It couldn't be easier - just write about her adventures with Fairy Tail, but no. The flow of words just wouldn't come - as if something had stoppered her drive.

She sat back with a defeated sigh, placing her hands behind her head. Maybe she needed a break. She could go outside perhaps... though she half expected one of her guildmates to just drop by. ]

Never mind that most of them - besides the redheaded girl about his age - seem to be armed and rather unpleasant-looking. ]

The harvest festival is something that Krile's always looked forward to, and she's even helped out with setting it up, but organization? A whole different ball game. Right now she's trying to figure out how to set up the different tents and games according to the contentious politics between vegetable contests, the footraces, and the bakers. Among others.

The whole situation reeks of the Dead and Free Magic, but Sabriel cannot find the culprit- whoever or whatever it is has covered their trail well, and no pages from The Book of the Dead have suddenly forced themselves into her memory.

Sabriel is the Abhorsen now, and tasked with defending the living from the Dead- and she has no idea how to proceed. Should she leave the village and try to track down whatever's responsible, or stay to defend against the inevitable attack?]

Barton was technically in the middle of an operation but he wasn't heartless. He squinted at the dim figure. Breathing, at least, but that was about all he could tell.]

Dane made his way up the dizzying staircase, squinting down at the piece of paper in his hand. Was this even the right address? Why was he doing this, anyway? It wasn't like his last attempt at the whole music thing panned out so well. He tried to remember how he managed to end up here, anyway. There had been a lot of drinking. A slurred "I know a guy who needs a guy..." and a scrawled, illegible address.

In Boston.

He was still drunk when he bought the train ticket, but almost sober when he arrived nearly four hours later. So it was three in the afternoon. That happens when you work nights. But here he was, a bass strapped to his back, seriously doubting himself and his friend. For all he knew this was something from years ago that he'd only now remembered. And if he did have the right address, the intended person didn't even live there anymore.

He was seriously considering turning back. But he was at the top of the stairs. Feeling gross and winded. "Here goes nothin'..." he muttered, raising a slender hand to knock on Colin's door.
