1. CHOW TIME:
Food! Everybody loves food. It is the best social lubricant. Cooking it. Burning it. Eating it. Throwing it around! All kinds of food! A picnic, or a diner, or a barbecue, or a swanky restaurant which is going to regret letting you in very soon. The possibilities are endless.

2. SLAM DUNK:
Fuck yeah, sports. Who doesn't love getting all hot and sweaty in the sun? Balls, frisbees, cricket bats! Or, if you'd prefer not to torture yourself with physical exertion, maybe a game of pool is more your style.

3. ROCK N' ROLL:
It's always been your dream to play in a band together! Finally, you are making it happen. You are the most awesome bandmates and you make the best music. You are going to be stars!
(Or not?)

4. GAME NIGHT:
Pawn to d4. Get out of jail free. Colonel Mustard did it in the conservatory with the revolver. Nooo, I told you not to pull that Zenga block out! I warned you, bro.

5. DARES & PRANKS:
Truth…or dare! Or maybe just the lot of you wrecking everybody else's shit. What a bunch of clowns. But face it! It was hilarious. Just maybe not for, uh, that particular guy, who is coming over here, right now, with that look on his face…

6. INTO THE WILD:
For some bizarre reason, you decided to leave your nice, comfy beds behind and camp outside. In the dark. In a tent! Or even just a sleeping bag, under the staaaaars. Don't burn the marshmallows! What was that noise?

7. REV THE ENGINES:
Look at this awesome ride. You'd be happy to take your friends for a spin, of course! Wind in your hair, radio blasting music, the works. Although you would never let them touch the wheel. Nope. This car is your baby (or your parents') and that would be an extremely dumb thing to do!

8. MAKE A SPLASH:
Whether it's an ocean or your backyard or a jungle pool, there's nothing like a good dunk in the water to cool you off! I hope you can swim, because you are going in. Right now!

9. DISNEYLAND!
The smell of cotton candy, the tinny music, the cooling puddle of vomit near the exit to the rollercoaster. It brings you back to when you were ten years old and you thought this was amazing! Or maybe you still do. Who knows. Either way, there are plenty of things to keep a friend or two occupied for a day.

10. SOMETHING ELSE
What? These traditional, sacred bonding activities are dull and cliched? Your friendship is special and you need to do something a little more special? Jeez, what a wet blanket. Kidding! In that case, you are limited only by your own imagination.

[SHE HAS FRIENDS, OK?]

Okay then, [ Josh chimed, walking through into the living room with a bottle of bourbon in one hand and a lit candle in the other. ] just you and me, Em. You sure you don't wanna wait for the others? Truth or dare with just the two of us? [ He imitates a typical private detective's suspicious, shady tone of voice. ] What if people start talkin'?

Oh please, you know half of them straight out lie when they choose truth. It's always the two of us who make the game interesting anyway. [She shrugs.] And if Mike or Jess manage to get here on time, they can always join in later. [A veiled way to suggest that they are the only other two people she's interested in challenging.] Well, they want to talk if we decide that what is said or done in the Em and Josh session, won't ever be talked again. [She smirks, not entirely serious. Or should she be?]

[ Josh smiled, almost sweetly, back and Emily at that comment. It was as though there was a silent nod to just how guarded they both really were under those many layers of bravado and "confidence". Somewhere deep in Josh's subconscious he knew he was a liar, probably the worst one in his entire friendship group, but he lied so convincingly that sometimes even he couldn't tell what was true or not.

He poured a shot for each of them and offered Emily the glass first. ]

Ladies first, of course.

[ Josh wore many masks, literally and figuratively, but he had garnered a reputation for being a bit of a flirt. ]

Right. So, we can have a bit of fun before everyone else arrives, sure, why not?

So what do you want Em? [ Intentional pause. ] Truth or dare?

[ooc: I can really hear Em's voice, you're awesome :D]

[Everybody hides part of themselves from time of time. Some peole are just better at keeping them hidden from most. Josh is a pro, and Em would never guess it, at least not without a little hint. And when it comes to her, sometimes being blunt is all a girl need to keep herself safe

But back to truth or dare.
She takes the glass a plays with it a little, being careful not to drop the drink.]

Oh, they are going to miss most of it.

[Again, she smiles, honestly curious.]

Let's start with... truth.

[ooc: thank you! Hope I can keep it up, Em can be a little exhausting with her attitude. ;)

Also, the drinks are for penalty, right? Most of what I know of truth or dare is from tv shows.]

[ Josh played the role of supportive friend and harmless flirt very well, it was a character he had practised alone for months; even years. He didn't expect anyone to see through the disguise and, perhaps sadder than that, he didn't really think anyone cared enough to notice the cracks in his veneer, in his mask.

His eyes flicker to Emily's hand, then back to her face, and he wears a lopsided, charming grin very convincingly. ]

Okay then, truth.

[ The very word was a trigger for Josh and subconsciously he crossed his arms over his chest and his legs pointing towards Emily. ]

Why did you come--[ There was almost something hostile in his voice before he added. ]--with Matt. Are you two really an item now?

[ooc: I think she's one of the strongest girls in the game ;) also, yeah, drinking is the penalty! Sorry, I wasn't clear :x]

[Em is not surprised, she was expecting this question. And she doesn't hesitate.]

Yes. And while her expression remains impassive, she hopes he won't share this with Matt. She would like to avoid possible jealous fits.] Admittedly, he was just a rebound at first but... turned out he makes nice boyfriend material. [She shrugs, but she cares more than she shows.

She just finds it hard, sometimes, wearing her heart on her sleeve. Even if it's just with one person. Being the bitch - yes, she's aware she can be one, is way easier.]

My turn. What do you pick?

[ooc: No it's okay. I wanted to make sure since all I know from the game is from tv shows, which are not always a reliable source.]

[ Josh seemed to mull over Emily's response as if judging whether it was passable or not, in the end he nodded and responded with: ]

Going for the underdog, huh? I get it, I get it.

[ That was a backhanded compliment. Josh thought that despite Matt's bravado he was actually a pretty nice guy, ironically, he didn't think that badly of anyone. Even Mike, who occasionally irritated him with his attitude towards his sister's affection. Josh was more caught up in his own self-loathing to really notice anyone else's flaws, but that was all hidden, and well hidden at that.

A good-natured smile and he clapped both of his hands onto his own thighs. ]

Okay then Em, it's gonna be a dare.

[Em considers his words for a few seconds.] You know, I don't really see Matt as an underdog.

[But she doesn't add anythig. If he wants to know more, he can ask, right? She generally favors Truth anyway.]

Dare uh?

[The way she says it, it sounds like she was expecting it.

Ugh, it's gonna be tough to choose. She witnessed his and the other boys'shenanigans enough times now.]

Ok. Send an half naked pic to one of our friends. You can decide which half.

[ Josh wasn't surprised that Emily ended up choosing something vaguely sexual, she was an attractive woman and had a very particular allure to her. She was confident, strong and knew exactly what she wanted, that level of self assurance was undeniably appealing.

Josh chuckled at the dare and shook his head almost fondly. ]

Only half naked, hm? I guess you didn't want to scare me off, huh, Em'?

[ With that he, unsurprisingly, chose the top half and began to unbutton his shirt. He didn't seem phased about being topless bar a shiver when the air touched his bare skin. Josh was nowhere near as sculpted as say, Mike or Matt, but he was no slouch. He was trim and well proportioned. ]

Chilly.

[ When topless he got up and grabbed his phone from the coffee table and switched on the camera. ]

Alright Em', ladies choice. Who does the photo go to?

No reason to be too heavy handed when we just started, no? We should warm up first.

[And honestly, she needs to be careful around him, Josh could easily one up her. She's too smart to embarass herself too much, but she could risk getting drunk before the others even manage to get here.]

Oooh... looking nice, Josh!

[While it may sounds like she's teasing, she does think he looks good. And yeah, of course she's looking, he's right in front of her after all.]

Mmm let me think.

[She decides to voice her thoughts, looking at him to check is reaction.] The boys might be confused, but I think they would get it's a joke eventually. Jess might end up sexting you... [There's a clear note of distaste in her voice as she mentions her former friend.] ...and I feel Sam's reaction would be better if seen in person. Ashley it is.

[ Honestly, his first thought was to send the photo to Chris; mainly because he wanted to see just how ridiculous his response would be, but after Emily mentioning the possible confusion he decided against it. Besides which, he didn't want Emily getting the wrong idea, rumours could travel fast in their friendship circle and he didn't want something weird going around about him. ]

Always the voice of reason, huh?

[ Josh quipped with the hint of a grin remaining on his face. As Emily cycled through the rest of their closest friends Josh nodded along agreeably, considering her views carefully. Ashley would not have been his first choice, in fact, knowing Chris's feelings towards her made the whole thing a little awkward but a dare was a dare, right? Surely Ash' could take a prank? ]

Well, okay then, you make your point well.

[ And with that Josh angled his phone a little above himself, getting a nice three-quarter's angle shot, and he sent the message off to Ashley followed by a winking emoji. ]

Right, let's see what that gets us! In the meantime... [ He picked up the bottle and sloshed its contents. ] Your turn.

[If Emily could read his thoughts, she would reassure him that she would have let him clear up any possible doubt. In fact, she will anyway, but only after he will be done with his task.]

A girl needs to be smart and know how to take care of herself these day.

[She sighs dramatically but only half jocking.

She waits for him to take the picture, trying to picture the look on Ashley's face when she will see the text.]>

I hope she won't be too shocked to reply. Will it be akward of will good little Ashley surprise us?

[She grins, either way it's going to be good.]

You can tell her it's for a dare after she does, I wouldn't want for it to come out later and risk getting involved in some high school drama.

[Surprisingly she doesn't answer right away, she usually picks truth and keeps dares for later but she feels tempted to break her routine.]
