GIVEN PURPOSE

You're the kind of person who works best with a stone-set goal or a purpose in your life. Even if those duties were thrust upon you with no input of your own, even if that's all you know - especially if that's all you know - you find yourself most at home when you have a job and you do it. Unfortunately, though, what you've dedicated yourself has gone belly up and you're left reeling.

That is until you find a new mission: a person. They could have shown you kindness when you needed it most, they may seem like someone with a cause. A cause, that's good. That's what you need. You can serve this.

All of your focus, all of your resolve, all in one place; it's no wonder when your feelings begin to blur and "professionalism" and such is no longer the order of the day, if it ever was. So now, you're dedicated to them, which has its ups and downs. You have to protect them, keep them safe, keep them successful, and do what needs to be done for them - their dirty work, if need be - though they may not ask or want this. They especially may not want your brand of service. But loving them normally, of course, would be the most healthy way to channel all this, yet perhaps you're not sure how. You could learn...

(ooc: Souko's purpose will always be to protect someone until the day they no longer need her or has paid up her debt. Now, if her purpose gets forcefully taken from her due to the death of the person, then she'll need someone to rise her up again.

I really want whoever is her new purpose to be male because she has no interest in females unless it's Ririchiyo. I don't mind having her feel indebted to a female character though.)

Emma sighed softly as she wiped down the counter of the diner at the close of shift. She glanced at the clock on the wall... a few more minutes and she could go home to her son and relax. The restaurant business was difficult, and Emma struggled. The rent was reasonable, but times were tough, and she had to provide for Henry.

Henry was the reason she did everything she did, including opening Truest Star. It was by far the craziest thing she had ever done, but she was determined to make it work.

He's waiting outside the door for her to finish, so he can escort her home (and keep her company). This time of day is one of the few times they get where they're alone, just the two of them, without her coworkers or Henry around. He likes all the time he gets with her, but especially when it's just the two of them.

Death had been watching Eric for some time now. Normally, there were rules about this sort of thing, a strict order that must be maintained in order to preserve the natural balance. But sometimes, when the world was out of balance, exceptions could be made, and the rules could be broken, bent, or even rewritten. Eric's death had been one of those exceptions.

Tessa, the reaper, and right hand of Death, appeared to those whose time had come in whatever form might resonate wth them; and so she'd come alogside him in the shape of a crow, to guide his soul on its last mission. Only, the mission hadn't ended when his vengeance was fulfilled. New evils rose to take the place of those he'd purged, and so, from time to time, when the city was ripe with corruption, The Crow returned to reap another harvest.
