You want to text that person, for whatever reason. Because you need to ask something, because you forgot to tell them something, because you miss them. Because you are in danger, because you need to know where they are or simply because you want to share this fact or story that's hilarious and can't wait another minute to be shared.

Serious, romantic, scary, funny, you pick the reason. Just text!

I have my sources. Is that really so hard to believe? Personally, I think the concept of the living talking to the dead is a lot more puzzling - yet here we are.

It's not so different from being alive. It's just a different world. There's rules to follow just like everything else.

Not at all! Paying for crimes or not, it's existence that I want to know about. Do we all go to some kind of afterlife?

Everybody is judged after death. It's not as spiritual as they make it seem, but all souls face judgment.

Then, to face that judgment, it's imperative that they continue to exist, and have some level of consciousness, correct?

Oh, I'm not quite that desperate to die.

[And he still has a plan or two going to sneak into heaven. It's not a strict requirement - as long as he exists, he'll be happy - but heaven does sound more pleasant than hell, if he gets to pick his afterlife.

Not enough to live a saintly life, though. That just isn't worth it.]

That said, I'd rather not spend eternity as an old man, either...

[If he has to kill himself before getting that old, he will. Though that's presuming he won't get killed first - and he won't deny that there's a good chance of that, considering both his line of work, and other aspects of how he chooses to live his life.]
