First Time Meme

It's your first time! Whether it's first kiss, first date, or even your first child, your character will be plunged into the nervous or terrifying experience that is their first time.

The list:
1. First kiss. Pucker up!
2. First date. Who's paying? Dinner and a movie, or a night under the stars in the back of your convertible Corvette?
3. First time. You've been together awhile, and it's about time to consummate things.
4. First child. Was it an accident, or planned for? You decide!
5. First Anniversary. You've made it an entire year without killing one another! Time to break open the bubbly.
6. First pet. Dog or cat? Fish tank? Rhinoceros?
7. First house. Apartment in the city, or perfect white picket fenced home! Either way, better make the best of it.
8. First fight. And things had been going so well; is your relationship strong enough to outlast the tiffs?
9. First breakup. But they were your one and only! How will you cope with losing them? How will you ever manage to find another?
10. Make up your own! Or mix and match!

As per usual, the norms apply! Post a comment with your character, and others will use the handy dandy RNG to choose a random scenario, or they'll simplypick one they like! Keep rolling and playing your little hearts out, and enjoy!

[She almost tears up, but what is showing emotion in public? She just smiles, a haunted little smile.]

Always. My brilliant hero.

[He sees that smile. A part of him knows what it means, especially when combined with the tears. He looks around, because it wouldn't do for anyone to actually witness this. Then, he slowly leans in and kisses her on the cheek.

He pauses before pulling away too far and whispers.]

It does get better. It takes a long time, but it does.

[With that offer of hope he backs away, then turns abruptly. He doesn't run, but he is walking away.]

I'll die before it does. But I'll always remember you.

[There's a sad smile as he keeps walking.]

The young always think that...

[He thought that, he's glad he didn't give in.]

I'm dying at the end of this year, though.

[highfunctioning_sociopath]

[That stops him in his tracks. He doesn't turn around, he's trying to cover up just how the thought of someone so young dying affects him.]

Then you won't have to worry about keeping your promise for long.

[She walks forward and tries to slip her hand into his.]

Can we...spend some more time together?

[She will fail. Sherlock can touch others, but they can't touch him.]

If it's companionship you seek, you should look elsewhere.

[He's not a very good friend.]

It's you I'm seeking.

[Hands at her side, awkward.]

I'm more of a loner, but...you're you.

Yes I am. You're young, which is why I'm going to give you a piece of advice: Turn around. Go. Don't look back.

[He's not one to be trifled with. People end up dead around him... or he ends up around dead people, fine line, that.]

If you're afraid for me, don't be. ...If you knew what I knew, if you could see what I see...

Oh? And what can you see?

[He's heard that one before.]

[Completely deadpan and without lying:]

The future. How do you think I knew where you'd be today?

[highfunctioning_sociopath]

[Sherlock stands a little straighter at that revelation, clasping his hands behind his back.]

This street corner? In this part of London? Your chances were more likely than not to encounter me. I list my address on my blog, after all. It wouldn't take a genius to figure out the major streets in the area.

[That wasn't proof enough, but he's open to her trying again.]

At this exact time?

I can tell you what's going to be in tomorrow's papers, too. There's going to be a murder tonight.

[highfunctioning_sociopath]

Still not proof. There are murders practically every night.

[But he is intrigued.]

[pencilpremonition]

[She pulls out a notebook from her shoulder bag and turns to a page, and holds it out to him.]

This is how the body will be arranged. Do you recognise that address?

[The drawing is very detailed, brimming with clues. It looks like something that wasn't premeditated but happened in the heat of the moment. She's a really good artist, and not a single detail contradicts other details, down to the way the blood is spattered. A fifteen year old kid can't know that much about blood spatter, especially not one who skips school as much as Becca.]

[He takes the notebook and looks over it carefully. Then he looks at her and back at the notebook. He takes out his magnifying glass. He does all this in silence. And when he speaks, he has but one question.]

Who are you?

[pencilpremonition]

Becca Harcourt.

...Do you believe me now?

[highfunctioning_sociopath]

I don't know yet. I'll tell you tomorrow...

[He pauses.]

But you're not boring and I see why you appreciate my work.

[pencilpremonition]

I'll leave you my whole collection when I die... I've seen all the way to a colony on Mars. Most of what I've seen is deaths, though. This is mine...

[She takes the notebook back and pages through to a picture of herself falling off of a bridge. She's unconscious as she falls.]

[Sherlock studies the image.]

Who would want to kill you?

[It's half question and half statement. Filled with curiosity either way.]

Nobody, it just happens. I'm drawing on the bridge, then I fall off of it.

[highfunctioning_sociopath]

[He points to the picture.]

You're unconscious...

[pencilpremonition]

Huh...that must be why I fall. I pass out when I'm having visions.

...

And before you say "so don't sit on bridges" or something like that, I can't change the future. I've tried before, and it doesn't work.
