1. Friendly hug - this person is your good pal, and you just wanna give them a fond squeeze to let them know.

 

2. Romantic hug - you just want to be closer, so wrap your arms around them, maybe rub their back some...

 

3. Bear hug - maybe you haven't seen them in a while, so how about a giant hug that lifts them off their feet

 

4. Hug from behind - surprise them, guess who?! or maybe they're having a bad day, cheer them up.

 

5. Awkward hug - maybe it's on accident, but whatever the case is, you can't help but feel a little nervous about hugging them.

 

6. Reluctant hug - whoever this person is, you have to hug them, better make it quick!

 

7. "I'm sorry!" hug - actions speak louder than words, will this person get the message?

 

8. Give a little extra hug - give them a kiss with it, cheek, shoulder nuzzle, whatever - but let the hug linger a little!

 

9. Don't WANT a hug - make them see sense! Cling, and don't let go for anything oohcookiegimme! - if you're the hugged, try to get loose. Or maybe you'll give in!

 

10. Random or other kind of hug - pick the choice you like best, or make up your own!

[Hotch is usually pretty hands-off, but not with his children. Though he may not explicitly say so, he is starting to consider Lyra his daughter. Though his first instinct is always to keep his feelings to himself, he promised himself to be the open, affectionate father Jack needs after Haley died, and that extends to Lyra.

So when they happen to be sitting next to each other on the couch, Hotch reading a book, he absently wraps his arm around Lyra's shoulders in a hug. It's loose enough for her to wiggle away if she wants to, but warm.]

6 - Reluctant Hug!

[So she's working. Who cares? Earth Kingdom guards aren't all that busy. It's not like she didn't show him she appreciated him. What has she called him? "Sleeveless Guy?" She noticed his muscles and he's sure she was flirting with him...]

[From afar, he's been watching her. Sneaking away from his friends wasn't easy, and as time ticks of, he's sure they'll notice him gone. But he has to see her.]

[Sokka sneaks, sans shoes, until he's close enough. His arms close reluctantly around her from behind, worried she might be surprised. The hug is swift -- barely a second long -- and he's almost wincing as he pulls back, thinking he's about to be grabbed and tossed for not asking first.]

[Having keystone members of the League take off for an unknown amount of time was difficult enough, 'losing' Artemis had taken it's toll on everyone. The atmosphere in the base was grim and restless. Conner had tried to distract himself in a number of different ways but his mind kept going back to the mission.

Artemis wasn't the first and he feared she wouldn't be the last either. Who would be next? What...what if it was M'gann? Every mission they went on became more dangerous and as experienced as they were, there were bigger and badder things out there. The thought of losing her causes him to feel physically ill and he closes his eyes over.

There is no easy fix for the two of them, things between them are far too complicated. But maybe...just maybe for one night things can be okay between them. His heart is already filled with enough sadness to do him a life time. While he's brooding over his thoughts, he spots M'gann walking by.

The next thing he knows he's over by her and he's hugging her tightly. No words leave his mouth, he just wants to feel her in his arms and remind himself that she's okay.]
