master / fledgling In most vampire media, the relationship between maker and fledglings is many things: parental, sibling, an apprenticeship, even antagonistic. [Claude opened his eyes with a groan. His throat was burning something terrible, but that he had come to expect from his mornings or whatever time he woke up. It was never the same. Becoming a vampire wasn't something you got used to right away. You turned and then you had to get used to all of the changes.

At times he regretted becoming one, but he was still a rather fresh vampire and still attached to his human life. It was all a matter of getting used to this new situation.]
