You're a someone on a dangerous quest, a hero in a not-so-easy spot, a royal, or maybe even the last of your kind who will bring about the Earth's redemption. Whatever the case may be, you're valuable, and you're in a position that may be a bit dicey if you attract the wrong kind of attention.

And you're the protector, the only person who can keep that erstwhile hero or heroine out of harm's way. Somehow, you've been roped into protecting this person, whether it be through your loyalty to them or someone close to you, a mission, or a promised reward. You'll be rewarded, of course. The work may be cut out for you, but just do your job, keep your head down, and it'll go smooth.

Except, as things get more perilous and truths are revealed, the two of you break the bounds of protector/protected or guide/guided and feelings may begin to flourish. Being in such close quarters may get you to see the other in a different light, and saving someone's life just may be the ultimate form of intimacy.

Could this be the real danger? To feel so strongly for the one you've sworn to protect...are you compromised?

[Probably protector but would need an angle. He's a talented fighter but within normal limits, so he can be protected from the more dangerous fandoms out there.]

She could be protected on the trip between Skyhold and Haven to face Corypheus if she's taken the Well and intends to fight the dragon, or just while traveling with the restored eluvian. And she'd feel some responsibility to protect the people important to the Inquisition's cause. Similar canons welcome!)

[ She was supposed to have more freedom this time, and it's true that Coulson hasn't locked her in her room; she even understands that she needs to check in and out (not to mention wear a tracker) when she leaves. She gets that at seventeen, she needs a legal guardian, and up until twenty-four hours ago, she hadn't had a body guard. That had changed when she'd gotten shot in the shoulder on her last mission. Coulson had gone all over protective dad on her.

Which was how she'd ended up with Roman. Coulson had dressed it in the guise of her showing him around since he was new to this particular facility, but Ava saw it for what it was. Coulson was sticking her with a babysitter. At least he's a cute babysitter.

She sighs, pushing herself up off the sofa and looking sidelong at Roman. ] Hungry.

[ Pause ] Do you like pizza? I can order enough for two. [ Dominos doesn't deliver here but there are men in sunglasses, suits and ear pieces that go get the pizza for her. She's trying because she knows that Roman didn't ask for this. There are things he would probably much rather be doing. ] Or [ She bites her bottom lip, wondering how far Roman's authority goes. ] We could go out for pizza. I mean...I assume you're cleared to take me places.

[Sure Roman hadn't asked for this but there were worse things he could be doing right now. And of course there was the fact Ava may not even know what he was. This whole S.H.I.E.L.D. place was weird even for his standards.

At first Roman had tried to not do this, but the fact was he gave in. It wasn't he felt pressured, it was that innate inner thing that made him want to protect people. To show they weren't here to take over the world as way too many thought aliens tended to like to do.

He watched her when she moved, noting she moved almost fluidly at times. When she mentioned she was hungry it reminded him how hungry he was himself. When she mentioned pizza he offered a smile.] I could go for some pizza. [He paused then thinking over her last comment. He was authorized to do so and he figured she just needed to get out. He understood that feeling all too well.] We can go out for pizza.
