[Loke had no idea if he should be happy about that some people still believed in him or annoyed at that they thought that he wanted to be praised by being gifted a human. Never had he said a thing about him wanting one. He looked down at the young man with a defeated sigh. He did not want him, but he could not just leave him tied up and drugged in the middle of the woods. There was no telling if those that had left him would return to see if their "gift" had gotten accepted.

Scoping the human up into his arms, Loke brought him with him back home to Asgård. He was left with little of a choice. The trip, even while carrying someone did not take long and he soon arrived outside of the mighty walls of Asgård and stepped inside of their safety and made his way to his own home that were located a bit away from everyone else. A old and rustic Nordic house. Nothing that were around in this time and age. He placed the human down on his bed and just waited for him to wake up.]

[When his eyes open, it's a slow process. Luckily for him, he doesn't remember what happened yet, only that his head was really hurting. One blink had only the smallest sliver of blue exposed, the second showing more, and the third finally having his eyes focused enough to see.

The other blonde man came into view, causing him to blink again.] Uhm. [He's surprised to hear his voice sound so scratchy. Where he was? How did he get here? Why did his mind feel like a drifting cloud?

Weak arms go to push himself up.]

Excuse me. Where am I?

[Loke had decided to pass the time with carving a spoon and a bowl. It looked like he might be in need of some extra plates from now on. That or they would need to eat from the same plate and use the same spoon.

But when he heard that scratchy voice he put his knife to the side and went over to the fireplace where a kettle had been put over the read coal. Grabbing a mug he filled it with warm water and added a big click honey to it.]

Asgård. You were sacrificed to me and I brought you here.

[Loke walked over to the human and offered him the mug.]

Drink this, it will do your throat good. And no more questions until you are done with it.

[His eyes widen. Of course he knows about the local gods. His mind runs through those he knows as his hands go out to take the cup, more out of surprised obedience than out of any real desire for anything to drink.

Loke. It had to be. The villagers had been talking about him recently, about wanting to get into his favor. Ayase hadn't been for sacrifices, asking that they just all try harder themselves, but maybe that's why he ended up being the one chosen.

This isn't good, he's not meant to be here. Maybe if he tells him as much, the god will let him go?

He takes a small sip from his cup and is pleased to find that it cooled his throat.] Are you -- Loke-sama? [It was a question without finishing the drink, but wouldn't that much be okay?]

I thought I told you no questions until you finished drinking.

[but he did not looked angry at being disobeyed. He mostly said that for the human's own sake. The less strain he put on is throat while drinking his honey water the better.]

But you are correct, I am Loke.

[Loke returned to his seat and picked up his carving again. No matter if the human would take his advise or not of not talking, he could still finish up what he had started making.]

[His eyes shift on the carvings as he brought his drink up for another sip. He had risked talking before, but it seems best to not keep risking it. After all, this man held a lot more power than anybody he had ever met.

But, for all of that power, he really was amazing at the carving. Ayase found himself relaxing as he watched, even if he was grateful when he found himself sipping from an empty cup.]

Loke...sama. I think there's been a mistake. I'm not supposed to be here.

[It did seem like the human would take his advise. That lifted Loke's mood slightly. He still wasn't overly happy that he had been gifted the young man to start with, but there was little he could do about it.]

There is no mistakes here. The whole ritual was done as it should or I would not even have noticed the prayers to me. However in regards of what they chose to gift me you should indeed not be here. I never asked for a person.

[Loke put away his knife once again and the now finished spoon and walked over to the human to take the empty mug. All of this was giving him a headache.]

My choice was to either take you or leave you in the middle of the woods where you would have been in the need to find your way out yourself.

(I have a couple of ideas. Either post AC3, The Apple somehow moves Desmond back to just at the end of Ratonhnhaké:ton's story in AC3 or maybe something modern day, immortality granted from exposure and use to Pieces of Eden and not matter if Desmond wants to go, he has to stay put so no one suspects he's not dead?)
