*It's an awkward thing, to switch gears suddenly after a major event. With Arkham out of the picture, at least for now, there's no need for Alastor to be subtle about his affections for Mary. And, both of them agree, it's really for the best that the people who know them learn about the relationship. But that doesn't really make the devil any less jumpy about walking to school with his arm around his girlfriend's waist.*

I keep expecting him to just appear out of nowhere.

I would comment on how fairytale prince-like that is, but you kind of are a prince so that makes it sort of moot doesn't it?

[ so maybe sharing a lab desk in science isn't as great as one would think. first of all, he has his brother teasing him as soon as they're home - and sometimes even if he thinks he can get away with it in the halls.

THANKFULLY. lab time? best time to distracted instead of think about the girl that would be your lab partner. dissecting a frog? much easier to deal with. ]
