GROWING CLOSER On occasion, the fun in playing a romantic relationship is not actually playing the relationship proper, but the build up. The characters grow closer, frozen hearts can thaw, emotional barriers may fall, and insight is gained, both about self and potential partners... ...plus, it can be entertaining as all heck to play either a. awkward dancing around the subject, if your character is that type, or b. embracing all that warming up. A little of column A, a little of column B may scratch an itch you never knew you had. Play one little vignette in time. You may find yourself craving some more. Comment with your character, preferences, info, etc. Reply to others & thread it alll out. Have fun, guys!

[ As usual, the meeting between the handful of nations was over, and Belarus was lost in thought. Her brother wasn't here to cause her to be focused on him, so instead her mind wondered, and without realizing her eyes fixated on America for a good portion on the meeting. Her expression didn't portray what she had on mind, on the contrary it only showed her usual disdain and annoyance. Resting bitch face at it's finest.

Even after all this time, the memories of being left behind and abandoned by Russia was still something that pained her immensely. Unlike other nations, her wounds never fully healed, the panic attacks and sleepless nights never stopped. But something about being around America, to this day, made her feel at peace. Which confused her. He wasn't someone she would normally enjoy the company of, he's loud, obnoxious and simply annoying. But she knew, deep down, all those things didn't annoy her as much as she lets of. He was still someone that was there for her, albeit a short time.

He wasn't someone that stayed that long, but she knew that all good things would come to an end, and even this fleeting moment of peace she had within herself will come to an end. But she decided to enjoy this moment for what it was, relieve the bittersweet memories she had with him, for now, instead of scurrying away to make herself busy as she usually does whenever she sees him. She knew she was too much for him, she is always too much, too cold, too quiet, too affectionate. She was too much for herself, most of the time she can't even make it out of her own thoughts.

Right now being a prime example.

Most of the other nations were making their way out, while she was still following his every move. Her face shifting into a softer expression, perhaps she wasn't as guarded now that less people were around her? She didn't want him to leave with the other nations, and she usually doesn't have the money or the chance to speak to him any other time. International calls being ridiculously expensive for her. When she spoke it was in her usual hushed, monotonous voice but there was a strange gentleness to it, or maybe he was mishearing it. ]
