Crush, crush, crush

the big, fat crush meme

How to Play
[ Comment with your character and preferences. ]
[ Reply to others, using the RNG to determine your fate. ]
[ Feel free to be as serious or as self-aware as you'd like. ]

Prompts
1. Love at First Sight...or, at least, Interest.
Hey little mama, let me holla at you.
2. Gradual.
Your interest in this person is growing after getting to know them.
3. Excitement and FREAKING OUT.
Oh my gosh, there's absolutely nothing you'd rather do than spend time with this person you want everything to be perfect oh gosh oh gosh.
3. Hormonal.
Girls are so weird but they look so nice.
4. BFF to BF
Your friendship is becoming/has become more than that.
5. Secret Crush
You can't let you liking the head cheerleader or the king's daughter get out. It would be a disaster.
6. What is this...Love Thing?
I don't understand love. What is love, baby don't hurt me ---
7. Unacceptable
Your brain is betraying you and making you have gross emotions towards that person.
8. You Totally Like [blank].
Everybody knows your little secret. Guess it's not a secret, then.
9. MY LIFE IS OVER.
You embarrassed yourself, so clearly no one will ever love you ever again.
10. Grouchy. Or Stunted.
Remember how I said not just silly kids can get crushes? This is for all the adults who are finally feeling that fluttery feeling in their chest.
11. Dumb Shows of Affection.
You want to show how much you care. These thoughtful gestures can range from not-so-dumb (she likes cookies, I'll buy her one!) to really dumb (I'LL BUY HER A LIFETIME SUPPLY OF COOKIES).
12. Forbidden Attraction.
Everyone knows exes are off-limits. It's, like, the first rule of feminism. Also included are siblings of best friends, best friends, and cute people in general.
13. Ridiculously Over the Top.
SHMOOPY POOPY CUDDLE BEAR! All sorts of pet names and inappropriate PDA here.
14. Fluffy Moments.
Not necessarily dates, but just hanging out and having fun together.
15. Confession.
I REALLY LIKE YOU PLEASE GO OUT WITH ME I carved this rock with my bare hands for you. Or maybe something more subtle.
16. Unwitting Object of Affection.
Usually an older party or someone completely uninvolved with this malarky, but crushes know no bounds.
17. Adorable Kisses.
Please don't let me miss, please don't bump noses...
18. Sloppy Makeouts.
Put on "Stairway to Heaven" and go to town.
19. Arguments.
You jerk! Look what you've done! I never want to see you again.
20.First Time
Obligatory smut option, touch a boob, etc.
21. ANYTHING ELSE

[As a romance novelist, Eiri has written many confessions. Tearful proclamations in the rain. Final words as one lover dies. Unplanned outbursts in the midst of violence or disaster. Heated promises made between the sheets. Flowery, eloquent speeches that no one could realistically pull off. He's written so many but he's never heard one, not really.

Sure, he's had women look at him with awe in their eyes, their hair fanned out prettily on his pillow, telling him how great he is, how lucky they feel, cooing out their adoration - but that isn't the same thing. They aren't really talking to him. They're talking to the fantasy, the charmer he plays in interviews, the idea of the man who wrote their favorite love story, wrote the words that they read while touching themselves in the bath. That isn't real, and that's why it's easy to smile down at them indulgently and ignore their calls the next day.

But this is real. This is another man, an older man, confessing to him haltingly, honestly. Opening up to him - the actual him - about his pain, about his wanting, without any certainty that Eiri wouldn't just give him that plastered on smile or laugh in his face.

He has no intention of doing that, but that leaves him at somewhat of a loss. He's not there yet, he's not at a place where he can talk about that first love, that rejection and betrayal and death... He doesn't even have all the pieces of those memories put together, so there's no sense getting into it now. Yeah, Yokozawa's right in that feelings beyond lust are present, are beginning to stir within him albeit without his permission. But he's not ready to speak them.

So...for a while, he just doesn't speak. He lies there, slowly relaxing now that he knows where Yokozawa stands, despite how strange it is to be held like this, on top but not in complete control, feeling the heartbeat beneath him and the vibration of Sorata's purrs.]

So I guess we're in agreement, then. [A brief answer, but hopefully clear. He doesn't want to stop, either.

He allows for a breath, breaking from the intensity of the moment but not shirking altogether from the topic of their now tentatively defined relationship. He crosses his arms on Yokozawa's chest, uses them to pillow his chin and smirk up at his new lover.]
So - you're the big bad scary jealous type, huh?

EIRI'S HEART GREW THREE SIZES THAT EVENING

[Looking back, Yokozawa's always been the one to hold himself up or pull the weight. Somethings others see as a burden, Yokozawa sees as responsibility. He's no stranger to shouldering burden without seeing it as such. It's ironic that with the weight on top of him right now, he actually feels lighter than he has been in a long time.]

Mm. [He lets out a quiet, but deep exhale. He gets it.] We do.

[There's still a ways for him to go, but he's no longer bogged down by the weight of regret and shame. He can actually lift his head up a little and see something good, something better. Yokozawa thinks this as he looks at Yuki, propped up like that. There's more to the writer than how he presents himself to others, even Yokozawa to some extent. Perhaps there's something painful behind the guise but it'd be too soon to assume. At least Yuki is honest about wanting this too and that is enough for Yokozawa to know for now. If or when he learns more about Yuki, he'll give it his all to listen.

And at this moment, he wants nothing more than to give into his urge to run his hand through that hair. He pulls an arm back...and gives the young man a flick on the forehead followed by a little growl, though not without some color warming up his cheeks.]

You don't want to find out. [He's scowling as always, but the look in his eyes is noticeably softer. As liberating as it is to open up and lay out everything bare like that, a small part of him is grateful that Yuki put them both back into familiar territory with this banter. He'll give him that much.

Sorata lets out a quiet meow. He'd like to think his cat agrees with him.]
