THE LOVE CONFESSIONS MEME

Confessions of feelings are rarely as nice and romantic as they seem in the Hollywood flicks. Sometimes, they're screamed across an empty house as someone leaves. Others, they whispered across white pillow cases as bodies lie close together in the dark. Of course, these feelings may not be returned, but it may be the only shot you have.

If you even meant to spill, anyway.

How to Play
- Comment with your character, putting your information and preferences somewhere in the comment.
- Comment to other characters. Roll the RNG to get your prompt, or pick one.
- Play out the scene and take it whatever direction you'd like.
- Be cute and fun or sad and depressing.

Prompts

1. Planned: You've been planning to tell this person how you feel, and you know exactly the way to do it.

2. Spontaneous: Uh-oh, it just slipped out! Maybe you weren't thinking, maybe it was a fight, but somehow, your secret's out.

3. Heat of the Moment: What's better than calling someone's name out in the trows of passion? Why, telling them you love them, of course!

4. The Last Time: You're coming clean with your feelings because you're dying, moving away, leaving the planet, going to war, whatever. Might as well when you'll probably never see them again.

5. Jealousy: You've seen the one you love in the arms of another, and you just have to let your feelings be known so they don't end up with the wrong person! Selfish, what's selfish?

6. Drunk: A drunk man's words are a sober man's thoughts, so maybe you should be careful what you say, or you'll be telling your best friend you have the hots for her. Awkward.

7. Lie: You don't actually have feelings for this person, but you need them to believe that you do in order to use them, get something, or perhaps to not hurt their feelings.

8. Sweet: You confess...and they feel the same, and have wanted to say it for a while. Oh, how cute! Go on and enjoy your cute little romance.

9. One-sided: One of you confessed, but it's completely unrequited. Can you still be friends, or is that too painful?

10. Forbidden: Your love for this person is totally uncool - not allowed, even. But it has to be brought to light, preferably by you.

11. Unfulfilled: While you both love each other, you decided mutually that this can't go any further.

Bucky was drunk. This was nothing new - and, honestly, well-deserved, because he'd just schlepped back through miles and miles of enemy territory with hundreds of other men on their way back from that godforsaken factory that Steve did not feel the least bit bad about having left as embers - not after having pulled Bucky off that table, where he'd been strapped like some kind of lab rat. No, a pile of embers was more than that place deserved to be, if you asked Steve Rogers, and Bucky more than deserved to be happily, sloppily drunk, even if Steve was feeling entirely too clear-headed for the number of empty mugs and shot glasses crowding around them both at the bar.

Behind them, the other freshly-recruited men of their "team" were still going strong, laughing and singing and carrying on, running up the tab Steve had opened on their behalf. Next to him, though, Bucky was starting to get the slow kind of drunk that meant he'd pushed himself far past his limits, and probably needed some rest. Strike that - definitely needed some rest, because Steve couldn't say he'd ever seen Bucky so bone-tired, or so thin. He felt like a total idiot, filled out and healthy and taller than Bucky, even sitting on a barstool next to him, in a way he hadn't ever felt like an idiot before (and he'd felt like an idiot plenty, ever since he let that senator talk him into those USO shows). He nudged Bucky's elbow with his when Bucky set down his most recently-emptied glass, tilting his head to try and make sure Bucky focused on his face. "I'm thinking of calling it a night," he lied (although in a way, it wasn't a lie, he wanted to get Bucky back, and that meant he wanted to get back, too). "Howabout you?"

If he had to get more convincing, he would, but he'd try to make this look like Bucky's choice - Bucky's idea, if he could - first.

Talk about a rough night. All Bucky wanted to do was drink until the memories of being in HYDRA custody were a big blank. Except he couldn't do that, because his best pal was here, big and bold and goddamn beautiful, and he really oughta feel happy that Steve was better, that he came to his rescue, except that whole mess was something his head was having a real hard time wrapping around. Maybe it's because of whatever Hell experiments Zola was doing to him. Maybe it's because Steve's such a damn idiot for undertaking the experiment, not knowing whether it would kill him and he was kind of a little bitter about that.

But it's probably also because Steve was bigger than him now and if that wasn't the most disconcerting thing he's seen--well, all right, Schmidt taking off his face was pretty disturbing too. Bucky thought he's probably had too much whiskey. He looked at his empty glass and then up to Steve when he heard him talk. He gave him a smile anyway, because in the end, Steve was still Steve and he still had that all too familiar mug.

"Yeah? C'mon Rogers, you ain't even drunk."

[ i read through adam's profile and the first thing that came to my mind is that they met via animal crossing. :|

and they've been playing a lot and it's been such a good stress-reliever for kaoru who has to be a bodyguard for politicians and is almost always in near-death situations and nobody makes him happy like adam does--and so the first time they meet each other face-to-face he's just kind of... stunned?
