THE PILLOW FORT MEME

It doesn't matter what age you are. From 1 year to 9,674,574,387 years, everybody loves a good pillow fort!
1. Post with your character and, in your starting comment, describe the magnificent [or not so magnificent] pillow fort that you've built.

[ Suddenly though, she flops back down on the futon, and her expression softens. ]

But, could you guys also be a little more careful? I'd rather avoid getting caught in any crossfire, and building this all over again.

[His eyes ignite with a flaming passion and he pumps his fists excitedly.]

Ossu!!!!

I promise!! I will do my best, Miss, and I will put my life on the line to make sure that you and your cozy fortress remain unharmed!

[As he stops shouting, however, it's possible to hear some sort of commotion from outside. There are angry voices, and they're getting closer...]

[ Fuu hears the commotion! She holds her pillow in front of herself and looks around, visibly nervous. ]

Ah! Oh crap, is that them? Is this actually worse than I thought?

It sounds like it...

Please do not worry! I will deal with them swiftly and do my best!

[Holding the pillow she gave him under one arm, he quickly crawls towards the opening in the fort as the voices get closer...!]

Hey, hold on! [ She crawls after him with her own pillow at the ready. ]

I'm going, too. If they're here, then now they're on my turf. No way am I letting some pillow battle ruin my fort! [ She's quite proud of it... ]

[He comes to a stop by the exit and pivots his head to face her, with concern in his eyes.]

Ack... Please reconsider! If you got hurt... [By pillows?!]

...after you so kindly offered me shelter... [She almost immediately convinced you to leave!!]

I wouldn't be able to live with myself! [It's pillows.]

I think you'll live, seriously!

Look, this is whole thing's just landed on me... well, you almost did... But anyway, I have to defend my fort. Think of it as my duty, okay?

[ A determined look in her eyes indicates she isn't backing down! ]

Like I'm gonna sit inside and wait for everything to fall around me, anyway. I'll show you guys a pillow fight!

[Ah... shounen duty. Now she's speaking his language. He nods firmly.]

Then, let us face this foe together, and do so bravely! May our youth be at full power!

[With that said, he then bursts through the opening to the outside and rolls along the ground before springing to his feet, ready for pillow combat!

The enemies... They're everywhere!!]

[ Her own exit from the fort is much less agile and more like a careful crawl before she's up on skinny legs and eyeing the battlefield uneasily. ]

Ah jeez, I'm really gonna have to do this...

[ Fuu sighs and then readies herself and her pillow in a sword stance she thinks she's seen one of her bodyguards do before. She has no idea what she's doing. But it feels pretty cool. ]

Listen, Lee, move wherever you have to, but I'm gonna stay close to the fort, okay?

[He turns towards her and gives a firm nod, holding his own pillow at the ready.]

Yosh! I will try to engage them directly... But please, if you need any help, Miss, just call for me!

[The boy in green bounces lightly on his feet... and then he starts swiftly running to and fro, trying to engage and fend off several of the attackers at the same time!]

[ Well, there he goes! Fuu, on the other hand, circles her fort, so far engaging only when anyone gets close. Once in a while she utters shouts like "Don't even think about!" and "Get away!" while swatting attackers as hard as she can.

One small flying squirrel swiftly glides out of her sleeve to smack belly-first on one or two faces, and giving her more time to land pillowy-blows on them. ]

[Lee moves swiftly and efficiently as he tries fending off the bandits! Although these enemies are no joke, and they're not above pulling dirty tricks to try to get the upper hand!

At one point, he does notice the squirrel in action. His eyes widen in awe and he hums at how great it is!]

Good job, tiny one!! Keep it up! [He shouts back before he rushes one enemy. He's trying his best to keep them back from the fort!]

[ At some point, the dirty tricks have increased enough to make her leave her more defensive stance around the fort. She's swatting at whoever even gets close, but one misstep trips her up and sends her falling. ]

Ah! GO AWAY!! Lee, the fort!

No! Miss!! [He can't let her fall like this! So Lee quickly leaps and slides on his knees along the ground to try to catch her in one of his arms while still battle-ready with his his pillow in his other hand. Maybe he can help her and the fort at the same time.]

[ He does catch her! She tumbles clumsily on top of him, but the sight of her fort left so vulnerable makes her scramble to get up while an oncoming barrage of pillows descends on them. Her squirrel friend is nowhere in sight for backup. ]

[Well that was a relief! But he does panic as the barrage continues, and as he fails to see the amazing squirrel. He rushes over to back her up, trying to swat away some of the pillows that are targetting the walls of the fortress.]

Not today!!

[ Fuu scopes the battle area quickly and comes to a hard decision. She was getting tired and if the fight didn't end soon she wouldn't even have a fort to nap in. So she hatches a very last-minute plan, which, maybe with Lee's help, would cease the pillow-y chaos around here.

She pulls off the long, broad bedsheet being used as cover for the fort, reeling it in messily her arms, and leaving the interior of the fort exposed. But if this plan worked, it wouldn't be too much to rebuild.

Scrambling towards Lee, she bumps someone out of the way before shoving one end of the bedsheet at him. ]

Help me get everyone else under this! Like a bug net!

[He slapped a man in a face with the pillow, knocking him back, but then he gasped and stared in shock as the watched the girl disrobe her fortress.

The answer to his confusion came as she ran up to him! He focuses his attention on her and absorbs her plan.]

A bug net...? [Then he nod firmly.] I've got it. You can count on me!! [Then he grabs the other end of the bedsheet, ready to run and set this wild plan into motion!]

[ Holding on tight to her side with her arms spread wide, she runs in the opposite direction, and the sheet starts unfurling. She has to duck and dodge a few swipes, but when she finds a moment, she pauses to wait to see how Lee is faring. ]

[Lee is doing pretty well as he runs with his side! And he swiftly dodges the blows of the enemies. Although he may actually be doing too well - moving fast enough that it's hard to keep up with.]

[ One moment she was trying to run the other way to collect as many opponents as she could under the sheet, but next, she felt herself tugged in Lee's direction. She scrambles to stay up on her feet. ]

Wait! It's gotta spread! [ Well, she's kind of yelling out the plan, but it might still work? ]
