For once, Obi-Wan is not in the Room of a Thousand Fountains, or training with younglings, or meditating somewhere quite. He's not even in his room, reading or staring out the window. He's sitting in one of the Temple's outside gardens, enjoying the fact that he's outside and nothing's trying to kill him. What he is doing, is trying to work out how he feels about recent events. Things have been so hectic, and happening all at once, that he's barely had time to really register any of it. He may have provided a facade of having it all-together for the Twins and Han, but he really didn't.

And this particular bench upon which he sits is on the edge of the garden, commanding a spectacular view of the Senate district on the horizon, which only serves to focus his thoughts on the source of all of his issues, namely the fact that Luke and Leia are Anakin's children.

Go figure.

Obi-Wan had taken the opportunity of Anakin's absence from the Temple to track down the copy of The Jedi Path that had been passed down from Master to Apprentice, from Yoda all the way down the line to Ahsoka. His friend and former apprentice was still a little touchy on the subject of the young Togruta, though Obi-Wan had to admit that training Leia seemed to be helping him deal with it a little. Finally.

Now that he had the tome, he found the temptation to flip through its pages overwhelming. He knew that it was customary for the owner to leave notes in the margins, and he was a little curious as to what his Padawan, and grand-Padawan had contributed to the living document.

Obi-Wan wasn't exactly surprised when he found himself in the Room of a Thousand Fountains, settling on the grass beside the pool that he and Bant usually shared as their spot. Apparently he was feeling quite nostalgic, indeed.

Something about stumbling across two more Skywalkers brought to mind his initial meeting with Anakin, and the strangeness of the mission that surrounded that auspicious event seemed to echo the impossibility of what they now faced with three temporally-displaced individuals running around.

With a sigh, he let all that fall away as he opened the book and flipped through its pages...
