One of the golden rules he abstains to; anyone that knew him on a personal level, outside of the media portrayal of Oliver Queen, would think such a statement makes no sense. Athletic, coordinated, traits that normally would qualify him as the perfect partner. A cultured (and spoiled) upbringing meant practice should have been in abundance. Toes digging into the sand, he presses his lips together, a means to combat the smile that’s threatened to break out across his expression.

Denying her would have been a superhuman feat; he’s capable of such things under specific sets of circumstances, and this isn’t one of them. Most of the afternoon and early evening had been spent swimming; even a (to others) sickeningly cute picnic spread out on the large beach towel they shared. Running fingers through his short hair, a rough texture of sand and saltwater, Oliver finally relents. It’s the only outcome there was ever really going to be. A step towards her, grinning broadly now, no need to restraint it.

Emma could hardly be called romantic by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, she was the epitome of anti romance, but honestly something had changed for Emma, since Killian and Henry had managed to get her away from the darkness. She was still not exactly sure how he managed it, but he had.

She managed one good thing when she was away, which is how she referred to it. She managed to get the Jolly Roger back. So she found herself standing in the center of the deck, fairy lights strung around, and a soft melody played in the background. She was just waiting for Killian.
