Life is hard. You can go through rough patches and over bumps, and sometimes it feels as though you're definitely worse for the wear, both physically and mentally. It's nice to have someone - someone more than a friend - there for you in those times...even if you don't think you want them or deserve them. But they're here, and they'll take care of you.

How to Play:
* This is a shipping meme for more tender, soft moments, but a little more serious than your usual "fluff." It's for people who've been broken down by their experience and those who wish to heal them.
* Comment with your character/your preferences. You may also want to specify whether your character will be the one "cared for" or the one doing the "caring" + pertinent information, but for most effectiveness, it's best to be open to both.
* Comment around.

Emma walked in and looked around, feeling suddenly foolish for having shown up at all. "Am I interrupting anything?" She asked, looking him up and down.

"I can come back later," She said, knowing it was just an excuse to let herself chicken out.

"Of course not. I have all the time in the world." A grin spread across his face and he waved his hat around a little erratically. "Come in, I was only going for a walk." Which wasn't all that important. He just wanted to make sure Paige got to school alright, but that could wait until later.

"I could go with you, if you don't want to wait," Emma offered. It was unusual for her to be so accommodating, but she did have a reason for being here in the first place.

"You're settling in alright?"

He narrowed his eyes, unable to help but wonder what this was about. Was it because of the curse? Or maybe she'd finally started to see things his way? Perhaps it was just the Mayor putting her up to it to get to his hat.

Unsure of which it might be, his expression softened and he stepped aside as he fixed his grip on the hat. They'd have to pry it from his lifeless fingers if the latter was the case. "Settling in fine. I've just been so busy, busy," Jefferson explained, this last words coming out in a sing song.
