AFFECTION ATTEMPT Let's face it: you're bad at this whole "romantic affection" thing. Really, that's being generous. You suck abysmally at it. Still, you've found yourself in something resembling a human relationship, somehow, and you feel like you either have or want to show you care. Uhm, congrats. I'm sure this is going to work out well for you! Just kidding. Be it a physical gesture, kind words directed their way, or a gift, you're going to screw this up, most likely. Screw it up badly. Hopefully, they'll be charmed by you at least trying and won't be offended. Fingers crossed. [She blushed and felt absolutely awful for her mistake. Daenerys reached out for him, wrapping a hand around his bicep.]

Asher...oh, forgive me! I'm so sorry! You made this yourself? For me? That's so sweet!

[She looked down at the doll again with more love in her eyes. It didn't need to be a perfect likeness, he'd made it for her. Daenerys leaned up and kissed him softly.]

It's a wonderful gift, and such a surprise. Thank you.

Really? [ and just like that, with a press of dany's lips against his own and her expression of thanks, asher's dumbfounded frown is replaced with his absolutely stupid shit-eating grin. we all know the one.

[She leaned up and kissed him back when he kissed her again. Her hands came up and rested against his chest as she leaned up into him, keeping the doll clutched carefully in one hand.]

Why should I mock you? You did this for me, for no reason at all - your primary profession isn't dollmaking, so I think this is rather good for a first attempt!

[She leaned up again and pressed her lips softly against his. Happy to see this side of him; this thoughtful, affectionate side.]

[Daenerys laughed softly at the preposterous idea as she shook her head. Her heart fluttered a bit in her chest as he wrapped his arms around her. Daenerys wrapped her arms around his neck and leaned into him. It felt good, being held in his strong arms like this.]

[She returned his kiss, matching his passion and parting her lips to take his lower lip between them. One hand came up to cup his jaw as she deepened the kiss.]

[There had been times since this thing between them had started that Daenerys wondered if he wasn't just using her for gold or for use of her army. But times like this, she knew he was with her because he truly cared for her. And that thought alone made her heart swell.]
