They ended up on your doorstep, quite literally. Bloody, possibly. Bruised, most definitely, though the wounds may be mental. You probably don't know them from Adam, yet you couldn't find it in you to turn them away - whether they wanted you to or not. So you opened up your home, just for a little while.

But it's getting to be more than a little while. Both of you are finding a comfort zone, because you didn't simply open up your home. Admit it or don't, but you've opened up your heart all the same.

[ Leon's home is an interesting space. Clean for the most part-- no dust, never any dishes left, laundry never scattered, just not what one would expect. When Sora had first plunked down there had been more than one stack of half-read books (Leon never seemed to have time to get back to them) around the main living area, the kitchen table was a mess; covered in maps, books, projects he hadn't finished. A surprising amount of knick-knacks. The worn couch had served as a bed more times that not, considering the pile of blankets and a couple of pillows that'd been on it. Upstairs wasn't nearly as bad, but there's something to be said about the "office" being used mostly for storage.

For a man so careful about order, you'd think he'd have an extremely ordered living space. Not so much. His energy was put to other things than doing more than upkeep. Even less energy after the mass invasion of Heartless not too terribly long ago. The Battle of Hollow Bastion people were calling it. It was certainly that. All of them --all of them, down to even Merlin-- were fighting hard as anyone could for their lives. For the lives of a lot of people.

But how that made Sora his responsibility? He couldn't tell you. Aside from the fact that either the rest of the Committee found it hilarious, or because things were quiet here. All of that aside, he'd opened up his home for recovery. Everyone was worn down and beaten. Why leave Sora to deal with that on his own after all the things he's done? "As long as you need it," he'd said and meant it. More than he'd thought he would have. Days passed; he said nothing about Sora having to leave. The remaining upstairs bedroom was there for the kid to use. The company was strangely nice, too. Not that Leon would admit it.

Somewhere between sleeping for what felt like days and a sluggish crawl of time as things got back into some form of order, Leon had decided that food in the house would be nice at the very least and dragged himself out and back with-- well, he's not sure what in the Worlds Cid had slapped together, but it was something, kicking the door shut behind him gently with his heel, balancing a couple of brown paper sacks with him as he made his way to the now more organized kitchen table. ]

Hey-- you still here? [ Couldn't hurt to at least make it known he'd come home, loud enough for Sora to hear if he were upstairs. ]

[ It wasn't always easy, being the first official alien visitor to Earth. Not all humans were pleased with the idea of a cultural exchange. Especially those in the UK, where Cybermen had flown through the skies and London had turned into a forest for a day. There were isolated pockets of protestors at every speech Nadass gave, to be expected, for certain. But this time, some of the protestors had more violent ends in mind.

They'd waited around after the welcome ceremony. Followed Nadass to her hotel. Stalked her to the pub where she ate dinner. And then, when she was leaving and walking back alone, they cornered her. Beat her. Threatened to kill the "alien scum." It was all she could do to get away, but they gave chase. She turned corner after corner, trying to lose them. Finally, she came upon a blue box and recognized the word "POLICE" written on its front. She ran up to it, banging desperately at the door. ]

Please, police! Help me! [ She looked behind her, frightened. She seemed to have lost her pursuers for now, but there was no telling when they'd be back. She redoubled her efforts, pulling at the door trying to get it open. ] They're trying to kill me, please!

[ The drop was brutal, and her first one involved falling into a swarm of mind-altering, poisonous butterflies. Clearing through the attacking hordes had been no mean feet, with only a small number of fellow crew mates around her and a juggernaut that was mysteriously not functioning. Even with her magic Xion found herself exhausted, tired, and unfortunately pretty beat up - almost all of her spells spent on keeping her fellow recruits alive.

She has a few Cures left. But she doesn't want to spend them on herself. Still, she's exhausted, and has to find a space away from the battlefield to breathe. Just for a moment. It hurts...

Down on one knee and curled in on herself like she is, she won't notice she has company - or who that company is. ]

[We hear time and time again that Sam has a sugarmoma, always borrowing her car (and damaging it), late for dates, borrowing an empty house, etc etc. But what if she isn't exactly like Sam tells them she is.]

The first time it was an accident, he tried to let himself in her apartment thinking it was his and she patched him together then too. They met over laundry - his Hawaiian shirts - getting the mail, until one day she invited him in for dinner, and despite the difference in age, she made him laugh and visa versa, he borrowed her car and trashed it (thank goodness for insurance and inheritance), and she hoped one day to have the chance exhaust him into oblivion.

She traveled a lot, which had slowed things between them, but it had been nice not to find someone in a rush. Someone who didn't think that a kiss on the cheek meant, 'take me now', who might think it meant, 'thank you'.

He tried to keep his work away from her, which she appreciated, but there were times that she couldn't look away. Like now when he was bleeding on her towels and she was picking glass out with a pair of tweezers while holding a flashlight to find the rest.
