Maya walked a very narrow tightrope between playful and flirting. She wasn't much of one for filtering thoughts once she started talking, and that really was the first place her mind went with that outfit. She just took putting Lydia off guard as a personal victory, because it wasn't something people usually managed without her having hashtag banshee problems.
"So it just lets everyone else down." Maya smirked a little, again her mind feeding directly to her responses without stopping to think. Of course that little thought of games was banished with the harsh reality that things were serious, and training could not be a joke. Maya played through sorrow at the idea things never really calmed down, to a stern determined look, one of someone who could take on anything.
Maya mimicked a stance she'd seen her sister do from martial arts. The arms up thing was a fairly common thing from what little Maya learned from Katie's exhibitions. That she could easily get her mind around. Not that she understood how Katie could flip a guy twice her size, or kick at about face level. "Right, don't want to get punched in the face, what else?"
