[Nothing was ever easy with them. It would have been easy to blame Hibari or blame Yamamoto, but the truth was that as much as it might be about them as individuals, it was also about the ways that they fit together. Yamamoto was carefree and careless, and always had a smile and a laugh and a sly sidestep as he casually pushed Hibari too far. Hibari was violent and had no real understanding of the things that he wanted, let alone the kinds of things that were typically part of any sort of relationship.

Not that one could really call whatever it was that was between them a relationship. Not really. There's no romance to it, really, just frustration and annoyance and a whole lot of intensity that Kyoya prefers not to think about at all. They're all graduating this year, and it puts him in a bad mood, faces him with the choice of clinging to the careful routines he's lost himself in for so long, or finally growing up.

Hibari Kyoya doesn't like change. If anything, it's made him more irritable than usual these past few months. A dark shadow that snaps with the slightest provocation. Does it even matter how it started, why he was chasing Tsuna and Gokudera and Yamamoto through the halls as the bell struck to signal the start of classes. Gokudera manages to pull Tsuna off to the side and then it's just Kyoya and Takeshi and a dark and empty hallway. And that's honestly the way that he likes it these days.

Someone might have said that it would take a miracle for them to get further than this at all. Honestly, that's more on Hibari than anything else, because he doesn't think about those things, not really. Never did at all.

Not until half a second ago when Yamamoto slipped sideways and pushed his back against the wall of the hallway. And right as Kyoya was about to introduce the teen's face to his tonfa, the other guardian was dipping down, pressing lips to cover Kyoya's stunned mouth. So there's this moment where it all hangs in the balance. Where Kyoya isn't hitting him or kissing him back and either option could be just as likely, with violence maybe more. Seconds stretch and warp, counted in pounding heartbeats, and Takeshi's lips are warm and urging.

Kyoya doesn't kiss him back. But he doesn't hit him, either. Instead, it's a nip of his teeth at the Rain's bottom lip. Not hard enough to hurt, it's experimental and almost timid, uncertain. It's enough to make someone wonder if Kyoya had ever even been kissed before.]

It's fairly secluded, especially when autumn's hit and the blooms are all off the flowers so there's no real appeal to the gardens. Makes it a good place for stealing "forbidden" smokes, even if half the time the professors are out there too.

They also meet for other things, in equally secluded spaces, and Celeste has decided she may as well blend the two. Why not? Petre is anything but dull, but that doesn't mean they can't find new ways to spice things up. And she knows damn well he'll be interested, which is why she just switches her cigarette to the hand furthest from him and then plunks the closer one down on his thigh. Stroking up and down, up and down, clear intent in how high her upward strokes reach.]

It's dead dull out here 'round this time of year. Will they all freeze, you reckon? Not even any snow yet.
