Grooming is an important part of many species' rituals. It keeps them clean, healthy, and content. And a good bath? It can change the whole tone of a day from terrible to relaxed and blissful. But nudity is sometimes viewed as a weakness - and it is almost always sexualized - so bathing is often kept a private matter. If you do share these moments with someone, they're almost always a significant other or a sexual partner. Like you're doing now. Whether it be after a battle or after sex (or before sex, even), the two of you are going to get clean. Be sure to help each other out with that, won't you? After all, there are places on the back that just can't be reached... Water has never been a luxury wasted on the War Boys: they get exactly as much as they need to drink to survive and no more. The idea of using it to get clean is... unimaginable to Nux. On the rare occasion that a War Boy needs to clean up, there's sand and oil aplenty to scrub with, and the Organic's stinging solutions for dealing with wounds.

When he first hears the word bath, he goes with Capable just to see what it looks like. He finds himself mildly baffled by it. "It looks like half a tanker," he says, crouching down to peer at the faucet. "This is just for one person?"

Hunting; it’s the only life he’s ever known, the only life that Dean wanted to know. Out there in the muck, helping people, sending those ugly sons of bitches down below where they belong, that’s who he is. It’s when he’s free. Tonight wasn’t any different; just another job, not the first crocotta the elder Winchester brother had tangled with. Luring people out into the woods for a midnight snack. The machete that was always kept in the back of the impala had taken care of that; there hadn’t been a single part of it that had been easy, he didn’t know how many souls that thing had devoured, just that it’d be a hell of a lot more difficult to pull off with a detached head. The adrenaline was still lingering in his system; just that faint trace, nerves wired for battle, an on edge feeling that he was all too familiar with. It wasn’t like Dean had gone far; Beacon Hills lived it to its name, the place was the stomping ground for plenty of things that went bump in the night, seemed to attract them. True, he could have hit up any bar within a thirty mile radius and found someone to drag back with him but Dean wasn’t interested. They wouldn’t have been her; wouldn’t make him feel the way that she did. Not even close. The flannel overshirt had been tossed onto the bed, his jacket just a few steps in front of the door, all he wanted to do was get clean. That fanged bastard hadn’t bled on him too much...didn’t make his skin crawl any less.

The radio on the dresser was set to a local classic rock station; led zeppelin humming in the background, just the way that he wanted it. Sammy would be expecting him to check in soon, his brother tended to be pretty anal when it came to that, but it could wait. Boots and socks joined the growing pile; by the time that she got there, the water in the shower was already running, steaming up the bathroom, Dean standing in front of the mirror, staring at his reflection. There was a shallow cut on his cheek from the crocotta’s nails. He grunted, the only article of clothing on him left was a pair of boxers, he hadn’t even heard her come in yet.

[ The downside to working for a clandestine organization that had declared itself at arms with the entire world was that they were getting a little too clever at spotting even the small craft they could use for atmospheric entry. And by spotting, Lockon meant shooting down.

The upside to working for a clandestine organization like that was that Lockon managed to get this damaged craft down to the general area where he needed to be, before having to eject. Because he was just that good.

However, between the eject, the recovering of the capsule and camouflaging it, and the hiking to his car, he was late for the somewhat strange appointment with the Flag pilot. And he was a mess, his hair filthy, matted, and with leaves and twigs in it.
