Harry had no idea what Malfoy had planned for the evening, so he erred on the side of formality. Not completely, of course, but he wore a buttoned shirt with a neck tie. He hated them, though, so the knot was a little loose. Wherever they were going, he couldn't imagine he'd get called on it, though.

He showed up at Malfoy Manor at 5pm, as he'd been imperiously commanded, even though Harry had technically been the one making the invitation. He wondered how it had all gotten so out of hand. He used the knocker on the imposing front door, wondering if the entire entrance wasn't contrived to make visitors feel insignificant.

When there was no response for some minutes, he gave the door a good solid pounding with the side of his fist. "Oi, Malfoy. You in there?" He was not going to be intimidated by a door.

The door swung in to the front hall, which honestly had not changed since the last time Harry had walked through this morning except for the lighting coming on in the evening. Draco made his entrance walking down the great stairs, dressed in a silk green shirt and no tie. Obviously, he wasn't that concerned with being formal.

"Really Potter, don't abuse the door. I do happen to have a knocker," he said as he stopped in the threshold. The blond eyed Harry critically before reaching to loosen his tie a little more.

[Pearl had been invited to the Mayor's ball, by Dewey himself. The gem was wary at first, but Steven insisted she go. And who could say no to that face of his? He even helped her pick out a nice streamline dress, flowy near the bottom. Pale blue, fading into a darker green-blue near the bottom. It was different attire than what she was used to.

When she walks into the ballroom, she looks around to see so many people! Gossiping and laughing amongst each other. Pearl found herself hugging the perimeter of the ballroom, bobbing her head above the crowd to try and find the mayor himself.]
