[ The place is a shit hole. A lot like the record store they'd found in Philly on the way to Bill's, but in Ohio. Culture Clash Records. She'd scoffed at the name as they passed it the first time, squinting at the boarded-up door. Well, there'd be no going in there, she'd thought, and despite her opinion of the title she'd sort of wanted to take a peak inside and pour over the old music, see what kind of stuff was popular "way back when."

As it happened, they did make their way back around the block. Nowhere else seemed safe enough to hole up for the night and just as she'd lightly suggested trying to scale some trees, he'd noticed the gaping hole in one of Culture Clash's windows. Everything else was shut up tight, making it a better temporary base of operations than any of the other local joints or, say, a tree.

"Huh." She'd said, thinking of coincidence and how weird life was sometimes. The pair had moved carefully through the open window, minding the shards of glass that littered the sill, and then leapt into the semi-darkness of the other side. The place wasn;t too big but it was crowded, old disks littering the floor as if someone had come through and tossed them aside looking for something else. What did they expect to find in here? That's probably what had happened, though, and she follows suit, poking around the drawers and back rooms as Joel patches up the window for the night, covering it with a few wooden planks that he propped vertically over the gaping hole.

Now, she's wandering the walls. She'd found nothing in her search, but Ellie's happy enough to just look around as she'd wanted, glancing over the fading legacies of dead artists (probably dead, right? the guys looked old). She pokes through a few, cracking one or two jokes aloud at the expense of the band's titles, and then digs through a number of cabinets for any more potential treasures. ]

Score! [ When she reemerges, it's with a cheeky grin and some strain in her expression; her arms are laden with a portable turntable, mint-green and trailing dust along her sleeves. ] Hey, this one yours?

[Pearl watches her dance quietly. Training, of course. One could never stop training when it came to fusions. It was important for them and their survival, especially with the Homeworld breathing down their necks. The temple provided plenty of room for such 'training.'
