Anakin smiled crookedly, "I'm never entirely certain of what Master Windu is thinking, to be honest." Though since Anakin was no green Knight with his padawan braid freshly cut off, it's entirely possible Mace was making quite clear to Devon that the Jedi debt to her was entirely discharged.

At her question he nodded, "he told me you're going on an investigation of someone down in the lower levels and need some...backup. He didn't actually tell me what you're looking for, though." And of course he had also added that Anakin keep his eyes open, just in case Devon 'forgot' to tell the Jedi about anything that might lie within their interests.

Apt description, yes. It would suffice, for now. Although she had no qualm with the Jedi Order or its Council, Devon wasn't naive enough to actually trust them. Nor was she inexperienced enough to believe that this Jedi Knight would withhold anything from his superiors, either. But that was best left for later.

"That is correct, yes." She returned to her desk, inviting him to sit as she resettled herself. "I have a particular client who is very interested in the whereabouts and activities of someone; why, I don't know or care. What I do know is that this individual has proven to be crafty, tenacious and altogether far too cautious, which is proving--" her lips twitched irritably, "--problematic."

She keyed into her console, pulling up a vague holographic image, general build but not many details. "Current physical details--human, average height and slim build, very likely armed and very possibly dangerous. Recent surveillance has revealed that he has a bit of a gambling problem, which suggests he will be at the Quarter for the next several hours. If possible, I'd like to 'acquire' him there, silently, and retrieve what I need without incident."

Businesslike demeanor fading with the onset of her pleasant smile, Devon relaxed slightly and tilted her head, inquiring, "Ready for a bit of an adventure, Sir Jedi?"

Anakin took her invitation and sat carefully in the indicated chair, most of his attention on her description of the individual in question and the holograph she brought up. He glanced up over the hologram at her, "I hope you know a bit more than that about him as I seem to recall," a few billion, maybe, "a lot of people on Coruscant that could fit that description."

Though her question prompted a return smile of his own, "only if you call me Anakin."
