[Wherever she goes, she always ends up in a dark and dingy back alley with bandits. Or muggers. Whatever they're calling them around here. Usually they set upon Isabela herself, expecting an easy target (and never getting it) - this time it's someone else entirely. Now, Isabela isn't exactly the heroic type, not one to dash down alleys and protect innocent bystanders, but she's also not a complete ass, and if she takes the gang out, well...she can always loot their bodies.

Win-win situation, right?

The fight is short and brutal - she takes them out without mercy, laughing to herself and making smartass comments all the while. And she takes her licks - a good knock to the head and a few slashes of their knives - but in the end she prevails, and kneels gingerly to start digging in the pockets of one of the assailants.]

[It was an ambush. They were far out from the citadel, and Jirou collapses to the ground in a gusty exhale as soon as he's certain the last of their enemies has fallen to rise no more. Souza is a capable guy. An uchigatana is a reliable blade, and Jirou had been glad to have him there. They'd torn their attackers to little ribbons, but it hadn't been easy.]

Phew! That sobered me up pretty fast. [Yes, Souza had been sent out with a partner who had been at least mildly intoxicated at the time. Lucky Souza. He was completely sober now, though. (Unlucky Souza.)

Jirou's pretty roughed up, all torn an mussed. His clothes are ruined and he's lost his favorite haircomb along the way, but somehow his sake jar had survived, so his spirits are pretty high despite the ugly bruise that's surfacing where he'd taken a hard blow to the clavicle, to say nothing of the various gashes oozing blood. Also he's not sure he can stand? But it's cool. As aforementioned, his sake jar is still intact. He can weather the storm. He's a little concerned for Souza, though...]

[Maybe it's because Souza has brothers that Jirou feels a special kind of kinship with him. Maybe Jirou just feels a special kind of kinship with everybody depending how deep in his cups he is at any given time. Either way. He's a little odd, but so much about their lives is that Jirou takes it in stride. After all, Souza's not a bad guy.]

[They were slightly rare, bilgesnipes, and yet it was still entirely possible to run into them in the wild. By sound alone they were easy to avoid, with their lumbering steps and discordant, bellowing noises. More oft than not you ran into their tracks long before running into such a creature, and even if you did stumble upon one generally backing away and leaving their sight would leave you unscathed.

Such was not the luck of Thor, who was always more than pleased to take on any poor creature that dare got in his way. Especially if said creature was standing between an outing with his brother. It was just a young bull, telling by the points on its antlers, though the beast easily towered over the both of them. There was no turning back once Thor had set his mind to a fight—not when a bilgesnipe was also thrown into the mix—and it was a battle not easily won.

The blond thought it all in good fun, 'perfect exercise' even. That was, until he couldn't find Loki. He wouldn't respond to his shoutings and Thor's first thought is that his brother was thrown far off, lying unconscious without his knowing. Or worse yet; trampled. It sets a panic in the prince, making him search faster and call louder still as he tries to read the ground where he last saw the brunet.]

Loki! [Thor calls again, tone unabashedly fretful.] Brother, please, this is no time for your tricks! [The guilt swells in his chest, lodging his heart in his throat. There's so much blood and Thor's sure some of it is his own, however not knowing how much of it is Loki's is what sets him on edge.]
