Sex is a dirty, taboo act that needs to be restricted to — No, scratch that.

The place you live now has a sex-friendly, sex-positive culture. Sex is a social activity often used to strengthen bonds and it's no big deal to discuss or indulge openly. It's always been this way — your character has grown up accordingly so there's no excuse for blushy blushy inhibitions. General physical affection that doesn't necessarily end in sex is also very highly encouraged and thought to better one's well being.

Jack and Kidd hadn't been flying together very long, but their partnership seemed to be working out nicely ever since they "borrowed" their ship from an Alliance depot. The pair had been doing a fine job of small time piracy, raiding crafts here and there and building up supplies for something better.

The heist was supposed to be a good shock and awe approach. Hit the Volus transport so hard they didn't know what was happening, take what they could and get out. Unfortunately somewhere between shock and awe, a Batarian ship showed up to prematurely pick the bones. In the ensuing battle there were more deaths than originally planned and most of the cargo got flushed out into space. The whole thing was just a massive shitshow and in the end the pair was lucky enough to make a quick jump away before their engines gave out.

Inside, Kidd frowned as he looked over his omnitool. "Engine's going to be stalled for at least 6 hours. Repair systems are working fine at least. I imagine those raiders will be having more problems with the hole you blasted in their cockpit. Nice shot."

(ooc: rolling Mary passing as male at least to start. Figure this fits nicely before or after ME2)

Jack had been scowling since they made the jump, happy to hole up in the corner and ignore everything - especially her stupid fucking partner. She hadn't had to fight like that in a while and if she were totally honest, the shot had nothing to with her own ability and everything to do with Pragia bleeding forth from the dark recesses of her memory.

"Fuck you." She drew in a bit on herself, glaring daggers at Kidd's back. The sooner they got moving again, the sooner she could stop worrying about overusing her amp. "I told you coming that close to the Terminus System was going to bite us in ass and now we're sitting here, wide open waiting for someone to fuck us."

[For people who have lived through the Game, it's easy enough to spot others who have. Once you've felt the Music, even if you can't name it, it's not so hard to pick up on it in other people and tell who has just the right notes.]

[Which is why as Neku's in a cafe, there's another person staring at him, mouth slightly open. He blinks in surprise, and picks up his bag and walks over to him.]

[And when it came to those that had won the Game, Neku stood out like a diamond among quartz. Having played 3 times, his soul was as refined as it could be... well, and still be Alive, anyways.

He had seen it too, before. But wrote it off as something left over from his Partnerships. He had never seen anyone from the Game other then Shiki and Beat, after all. This was his first. So when Casper asks to sit, he dully nods in utter surprise.]

Tara had been working on her Radio Rebel setlist, it was what brought her to the quieter and less frequented parts of the school. Double identity as radio show host was tough to keep up as it was. But she was done now. And she didn't have much homework to do, talking to people was terrifying...

She looked to see who else was around, if she were really on her own maybe she could... take care of something.

Sadly, she was not alone. But the other person, it seemed, hadn't even noticed her yet. Neku needed to be away from others himself, and had his headphones clamped over his head. Even pressed down with his hands, as if to cut out all the outside world. His eyes were closed, and his knees pulled up to his chest.

He... didn't look upset. Just tight and small. Hell, he was even smiling slightly.
