[When it comes to the sheer number of admirers and romantic prospects, Kyouya pretty much has the rest of the school licked. He's handsome, intelligent, and rich. Even girls with boyfriends will leave him secret love notes to entertain the wild fantasy of trading up.]

[As such, Orihime doesn't have any illusions about her chances. She's not rich, and her family lineage? Laughable, if not downright questionable -- if she ever told anyone else about it, anyway. She knows she'd never be normal enough to fit in with a family as prestigious as his, no matter how polite and respectful she can be.]

[But even so? Call her selfish, but she still enjoys his company. His sharp wit is kind of awesome to behold, and she knows how kind he can be, even when he's overworked and stressed out. He watches out for his friends, giving them a gentle nudge without being overbearing about it. Seeing him smile makes her happy, and really, that's enough. It really is enough.]

[Someone told her it's his birthday today, and that surprised her. She thought it was in the fall! It didn't give her much time to prepare, but she rolled up her sleeves and baked him a giant, elaborately decorated cupcake. Whether he likes sweets or not, it's traditional. He doesn't have to eat it. She stayed up way too late trying to perfect the gift, so as she waits for him to attend the club meeting, she found herself thinking, what was the harm in resting her eyes just for a bit? Her head starts to dip as her eyelids grow heavy, and she slumps down in her chair...further...further...]

[Then she catches the very faint smell of his signature scent. Her eyes snap open. Immediately Orihime scrambles up to her feet and bows.]

After the way their 'date' ended, Klaus did his best to forget about Alleyne. If he'd told his brother Elijah what had happened, he likely would have been accused of acting like a spoiled child throwing his toys out of the pram. As it was he kept to himself, brooding, pouting, and eventually drawing.

He put to paper the image he'd held of her in his mind, statuesque in a long, tight fitting gown. Instead of a crown of jewels he adorned her head with a crown of thorns, as she was the queen of the humans' suffering. He even included her accursed horse, whom he realized he regretted not having the chance to win over.

By the time he was happy with it, his anger was replaced with regret. As a peace offering, he rolled the drawing tight, had it tied with red ribbon trimmed in black, and had it sent to her by means of a vampire he compelled to essentially stalk the dying until she showed up.
