The Master & Apprentice Meme

Apprenticeship is a system of training a new generation of practitioners in a particular craft or trade. An Apprentice learns new skills from a Master, usually an older professional in their field. A Master can be a mentor and a friend, or a harshly disciplining teacher, preparing their proteges to follow in their footsteps. A Master and Apprentice typically get to have lots of one on one time. Sometimes it takes time and patience to develop a special relationship amid the trials of leaning something new, but in time most good masters will pass down plenty of trade secrets and wisdom to prepare someone special to hone their young talents and follow in their footsteps!

How this meme works:

- Masters tag in first.
- Please include in your subject line Name and Trade/Skill or Secret Order you're training for.

So this'll end up looking like, for example:

Any skill can be taught, you don't have to be an official canon 'Master' of anything, you can offer to teach anything your character is willing (reluctantly or otherwise) to pass on.

- Wanna-be Apprentices! You get to tag into these masters as your whiny, callow, n00bish, noviced selves, going through a day of training. Maybe you're still petitioning to be taken under wing! Maybe undergoing a special rite of passage, well on your way to being a master yourself! Scenarios are up to you, no RNG here!

Anwei had prepared for her lessons carefully. She wore no metal, no iron or silver, and no leather or fur either. She had even gone to considerable effort to scrub the last of an elaborate dye job from her back and legs, because she thought it might be mistaken for runes. The only artificial thing she had (aside from her clothing) was a ceramic earplug for note-taking and contact with her AI.

(Of course she thinks it perfectly reasonable to carry what amounts to a bug to her meeting with Loki. Why wouldn't everyone carry recorders/transmitters at all times?)

She entered and bowed, her hands flickering in elaborate patterns of authority-recognition, and smiled as she raised her head.

"Greetings, sir. I am Anwei Ayles, and I am looking forward to your teaching."

(The only way to get better was to learn, and the best way to learn (much to his chagrin) was to be taught. Kadaj wanted to know it all; he wanted to read the fires, watch the future, but he wanted to better his ability to turn to mist & shadow more than anything else.)
