Who wouldn't want to have a maid or a butler, if even for a day? It would be incredible to have someone taking care of your every need, your every whim, and be loyal to you. Well, you've lucked out; you have your own servant! But what if that whole "taking care of your every need" concept went even further?

Instead of just tucking you into bed, you have a maid or butler who'll go to bed with you and not only to give you someone to cuddle with. After all, it is their life's work to serve you.

why?
AU: You've had or been a servant all your life; perhaps the two of you even grew up with each other, one of you "indebted" to the other. Or you just got hired the normal way, of course!
SUDDEN: Congratulations, you've come into the service of some hired help. Use them as you will, the tab's not on you.
ROLEPLAY: This isn't really a business transaction. You're both playing pretend.

Ran is definitely the maid, most likely in an AU setup, or a "sudden" where it's her new master that's surprised and she's used to being a handmaid. Romance and Kink both equally welcome.]]

[When Hei had taken another job, the last thing he expected was to find a maid out of the deal. She was clearly not from this world, surprising him. After getting out of that particular mess, he doubted things were going to calm down even if he did abandon her offer. Reluctantly, he had let Ran stay with him.

However, things seemed to be surprisingly well between them. Even he was growing more positive thanks to her attitude. She was the kind of person he really needed to be around more, yet kept pushing away.

After coming back to their temporary home, he sat down on the couch with a sigh. Well, at least the most he had to worry about were the stress from smaller jobs to earn a living, even if it meant being constantly on the run from other assassins.]

Ran, are you home?

Of course I am, Master!

[Ran was a lifelong servant - and her life had been a very long one. Still, nobody who understood her kind would dare to second-guess her happiness in the role. A nine-tailed kitsune bordered on the divine; over eight hundred years of experience with that power meant she could annihilate one of Hei's rivals in a single magical barrage, were it not a condition of her remaining in the human world that she only use those powers to defend herself and her household of employment.

In short, nobody could have made her subservient. She was such because she wished to be. She found it a fulfilling lifestyle to look after those who needed it, especially those like Hei, who benefited from her warm nature as much as her housekeeping.]

What can I do for you, Master?

[He often questioned why she stayed with him considering her power, but such things could be laid to rest. Spotting her, he began to take off his jacket. With her comfort, he thought it best to use it.]

[Ran scooted around behind the couch, reaching over to start with Hei's shoulders. She'd done this for him before, and had a very good knowledge of the spots that would need working on.]

[He sighed, eyes closing as her hands got to working on his back. While not as stressed as he would be after a major fight, it was still a welcome to have someone waiting to comfort him.]

[...well he's sort of a runaway quasi-orphan who lives in an abandoned building and picks fights with rival gangs even though his gang is pretty much defunct... so she definitely has her work cut out for her. XD But that totally works! He could well have earned that honor unknowingly by stupidly rushing in to save someone (e.g. Ran herself, or her mistress) who may or may not have needed it from one of those rival gangs, since it's 100% in character for him!]

[As a maid, Karen is probably only doing this to show that she can; her pride will compel her to play the role as close to perfectly as possible, a loyal and diligent servant attending to her mistress's every need and never (well, mostly never) protesting if her mistress's needs go beyond what's really appropriate.

As a mistress, she'll hold her maid to similarly high standards (which may or may not actually be met), but also try her best to be accommodating and generally a Nice Boss. This means not asking anything Unprofessional, so the maid will need to take initiative and be assertive.]
