[So this guy's room is kind of the epitome of "man cave". The carpet is not visible under the blanket of clothes. There are bags of chips, (both open and closed) peppered into the mix, as well as at least three empty pizza boxes. There's a small pile of textbooks, papers and a few writing implements off in a corner, but everything there looks distinctly neglected. There is literally a blanket fort occupying half of the room. Animal print sheets hang from closet doors and duct tape anchors on the ceiling. Random colored streamers were tacked on haphazardly as an afterthought. A small overflowing trash can sits beside a somewhat beleaguered looking refrigerator.

To top it all off, fairly slovenly individual stands in the midst of the debacle, halfheartedly kicking the worst of the clutter into a corner, as if that might make it less visible.

There are probably at least five fire code violations in here right now.]

Not to mention the fact that you're going to a completely different planet on your own. He ignores your totally effective passive-aggressive silence and just wheels you home.
