This isn't the first time he's slept over at her place--in part to make up for all those nights that he didn't get to attend sleepovers as a kid. She's the only person willing to watch Forensic Files with him late into the night while also being interested enough to speculate about the killers and okay enough with the grosser details to share popcorn and ice cream with him whilst doing so. Sometime tonight they moved into her room, cuddling up in blankets and nodding off to the lull of Peter Thomas' voice describing the position of a rape victim's body, and after Eddie gets up to change into his favorite pajamas he decides on a whim to not move to the couch as usual.

He slides in next to Rachel instead, turning to wrap his arms around her as though she's a stuffed animal. Her hair gets in his face, and he brushes it out of the way, snuggling a bit to make himself comfortable.]

(it's one of those oddly cold nights in san fransokyo, when the cold air coming off the coast is even stronger than normal. aunt cass has been trying to get the heater to work before closing up the shop, but the heating system is a little more than old, so it takes a long while until the warmth can spread through the house.

but until then, aunt cass has the usual supply of blankets and hot chocolate and tea for the boys. things which tadashi is more than grateful for, since the second floor gets a bit colder. he takes one of the larger blankets, a cup for each of them, and heads back up to his room. once there, he places the hot cocoa next to hiro's seat in front of his computer, and just.

[Winter in Berk lasts almost the entire year, so most vikings are used to the cold. Does that mean that they like it? Of course not... unless you're Jackson (or Jack for friends) the one and only viking that jumps barefooted into snowbanks.

Tonight, however, things are different. The Great Hall is warm and cozy, protecting them from the storm outside, but only one person is inside at the moment: their young new Chief who recently changed his status to single. Jack can't let the opportunity pass, Hiccups is always so busy, it isn't often he can be found alone. Maybe he doesn't stand a chance at all, but could he get at least some cuddling out of this? [ Eggsy wouldn't be able to remember how many movies they watched last night, but it was enough to send them both to sleep at around three in the morning, passed out in Roxy's bed together. He hadn't planned on spooning her, though there are moments where she asks him to - most of the time she doesn't need to verbalize the request because Eggsy just knows - holding her after they've been through a long mission where they've probably killed a lot of people. Bad people, but people nonetheless. Killing someone changes you.

At some point last night, he'd rolled onto his side in his sleep and curled his arm around her, pulling her against his chest like it was the most natural thing in the world. It's become as natural as shooting at a target and hitting the bullseye within the first shot.

The next morning, Eggsy wakes up to Roxy's poodle licking his face. Scrunching up his features in disgust, he wipes his wet cheek against the back of Roxy's t-shirt before hiding it into Roxy's neck to avoid any more dog saliva. ]

[ The university doesn't always plan ahead for the best accommodations, and while it's not unusual to make an unscheduled stop in the middle of the night, looking for ten rooms and only having five available, it's also not comfortable. Most of the students triple up, which isn't a problem. The real problem stems from the fact there's an even number of students, and somehow, it's arranged so that he and Stiles share. Most of his classmates thinks it's a punishment, having to room with the professor, but it's a little more complicated than that.

He purposely turns in as early as he can, staying as far off to the side of the single as possible, but he wakes up with his face pressed between someone's shoulder blades, impossibly warm and relaxed. That someone, of course, is Stiles, and they're more than laying side by side. Their legs are tangled together, an arm thrown over Stiles' waist, and Castiel blinks, scrunching his face in sleepy disdain. He doesn't even remember how this had happened or why they were both atop the blankets. At least he isn't naked, but it's only a small miracle.

( he knows, that despite the way they look so similar, that Liv is not Tink. maybe it's what drew him to her at first, but in the end she's not like his friend, his comrade in Neverland. she's quite unique — some might argue too unique, as her personality seems to change quite frequently — and he appreciates who she is, independent of who, on first meeting, she reminded him of.

she seems to sleep about as terribly as he does, but he likes to think when they're together she sleeps all right. the problem is how cold she always seems to be. so the way he wraps her up in his arms is just being thoughtful. he's got plenty of heat to spare, after all. he can feel her shifting in his arms and he can't quite decide if he's ready to be awake, and his grip tightens a bit. he's not sure he's ready to be awake, but he's certain he's not ready to let her go. )
