There's nothing in this world quite like a true, blue best friend that you can rely on. They've been with you through thick and thin, good and bad. You want to have fun? They're the first person you look for, because they always know how to bring the best out in you. You need a shoulder to cry on? Don't worry, they're already here. You need to bury a body? ...you should probably reconsider your priorities, but you know your best friend will be there with a shovel and a smile. You'd never ruin this friendship for ANYTHING in the world. Something's brewing that may do just that, though. One of you has feelings, has for a long time, and that spells trouble. Unless you keep that to yourself and remain platonic, of course. Repression in this case might be a good thing. Only it's too late. The cat's out of the bag, whether it's by confession or by accident. What to do, what to do? If feelings aren't returned, can you turn down a friend, or will you force something that isn't there just to make them happy? If feelings are returned, will you risk changing the perfect thing you have? Comment with your character, canon, preferences, and which side you may want to play. IE, the one with feelings, etc. Also, mention if you'd like things to be more fluffy or more tragic. Respond to others. Assumed CR and AU it up if need be.

It happened in the bathroom.

Sharing a space in Tokyo was very different from seeing one another every day in high school. Even if they had separate sleeping areas, they had to share a bathroom, which could be difficult when Haru preferred to soak in the tub for hours on end and Makoto had to pee. Mornings were similarly difficult and cramped, with the two of them vying for the sink to spit out toothpaste.

At night, it was easier, except tonight, for example, when their elbow kept brushing and Makoto kept looking up at Haru's reflection in the mirror. It had been years in the making when Makoto stilled Haru and kissed the toothpaste off his mouth, but that single foolish decision had freaked him out, and Makoto had seconds later taken off out the door.

Currently, he was in the hallway, breathing heavily, sitting with his back against the wall beside their front door, his shoulders hunched, knees up to his chin. What had he done?

They're sitting on his couch eating pizza and watching classic Star Trek, because for once the world isn't being attacked my super villains or rob
ot spiders.

Clint has the closed caption on the screen, and his aids turned down, they are bad ass designed by Tony, but sometimes he just doesn't want all the extra noise that comes with them. He's lost 80% of his hearing on his left side and 30% on the other, but it happened when he was younger, and it ended up righting it self after a couple of years.

Maybe it would fix itself again, but it really didn't bother him, and it didn't change his skill set.

He's pretty sure that's why he and Matt hit it off so well, they can give each other shit, and don't walk on eggshells around each other, like some of the other Avengers do from time to time.

"Bones is the best..." He grins taking another bite of his slice as Lucky comes sniffing around looking for a slice of his own.

Bucky was fairly sure it was now or never, he was shipping out in two days, and he didn't know if he'd ever see Steve again.

He's in their little kitchen putting together a sandwich, Steve had been picking up work at the propaganda office and he had been pulling double shifts at the dock to get the money together that was in the thick envelope that should give steve enough to get by for awhile until he can find a new roommate at lest.

But that's not what today is about he pours two glasses of milk and it takes two trips to get everything to the coffee table. (The bricks and boards withe fabric he'd found in the alley over it)

"I ship out in two days." He says right as Steve is about to take a bite.
