BIG STUPID CRUSH
[This is as deep as a secret that nobody knows; the Queen Lucy Pevensie, lately a student at a boarding school for safety's reason, surrounded by guards almost all the time and desperately trying to fit in for it, has a terrible, horrible, unbearable crush.
It does not help he is so golden, and it does not help, more, that he barely seems to notice her. And it does not help that she is most certainly not allowed this crush; he is Not Appropriate, he is Not For Her, for all that she has never had anyone for her her, not ever.
So she pretends when she runs into him - always in town, or away from the grounds of either of their schools (hers, for ladies, of course) (his, like a farm of testosterone) it's always with that slight air of accident, because she cannot let it happen so casually, because she likes him and the way he looks and the way he does not (seem to) know who she is, and the way he turns her back.
Because he cannot possibly have a crush on her, to be so smitten.
So it is an accident, this time, when she is under a tree reading, and she stretched a leg out just as he passes.]

[Sinbad likes cute girls, there's no question about it - and the redheaded princess was certainly no exception. He could almost hear his friends yelling at him about hitting on a member of royalty, how it's going to make some very important people quite angry.
But he didn't care, and he knows he'll be careful. Once the initial meet and greet with the Imperial family was over, the young man moved to shake the guards off along with the ex-assassin, trying to figure out where that girl went to, and eventually found himself at a courtyard garden, and possibly lost. The sound of footsteps on stone caught his attention - and snapping out of his curious daze, he realized this would look bad if he's caught, and quickly scrambles up a peach tree, watching to see who it was that was coming in - finding himself hopeful that it might be her]
But he didn't care, and he knows he'll be careful. [Everyone loves breakfast in bed.
Though most people expect to receive it from their kids on a parent-oriented holiday or a significant other on an anniversary and not their weird ginger friend on a regular Tuesday. Also most breakfasts consist of something like scrambled eggs or nutella pancakes but this... oh, this particular breakfast is something special. It's her favorite.
It's a hamburger. And yeah, sure, it's not real breakfast food. But who cares if it's not a ~real~ breakfast food, it's delicious and it's her favorite which is clearly the most important factor here. So, good morning Maya and congratulations. You are not dreaming. You are in fact waking up to a hamburger this mornfternoon.
Oh and your weird ginger friend playing his Nintendo DS on the other side of the room while he waits for you to wake up.]

[Merlin's young apprentice has always been lovely.
Arturia-- or Wart, as the androgynous squire was called-- had never denied that Jade was lovely. But that loveliness had never been an issue, not before. Not before Wart had become a squire, had been able to see her less often for a while. In fact, it had been a few months that they'd been separated at first, when Wart had become Kay's squire for sure, and now that they were able to see each other again, things had become... different.
Wart isn't sure what it is. Isn't sure why the sight of Jade's freckled nose, little spatters of dark on her tan skin, caused the corners of her own mouth to turn up. Isn't sure why Jade's giggles and whispers cause her chest to tighten, or why her proximity can sometimes twist the squire's stomach into knots.
This is the strangest sensation, and yet, for some reason, she can feel her cheeks flushing red if she even thinks to ask about it. It's an embarrassing feeling, and not one she's prepared to accept; she is to be a great leader one day, she has no time for frivolous, nervous feelings! She's never even been nervous on the battlefield, and yet...
And yet, she can hear herself mumbling as they take a short break from their mutual duties, walking along and collecting timber for Merlin' fires.]
