[For once it looked like their night was going to be uneventful. Everyone had behaved. No fights were started. No one got shot. An anomaly for them, but a pleasant one.

Then it happened. Some guy got a little handsy. Kat shot him down (all while threatening to stab the next body part of his that touched her) and he called her a whore (among other things).

OH HELL NO. Now it was on. And the little lady in question was going to be the one to throw the first swing. Unfortunately, this guy had no qualms about hitting a girl back. And in a room full of SAMCROs, all of whom considered her family. And a few that were her ACTUAL family. That was a bad idea.

He couldn't miss that this guy was a cop. Even the ones who didn't flash their badge at every turn had a certain way about them. Richie could have left, but instead chooses to nurse his drink, making no attempt to hide a direct stare. He didn't care if it was this cop or a thousand others, they were the reason why his brother was no longer at his side, why he had to double his efforts to remain hidden with no idea how to do it. Seth was always the one to handle anything low profile, and he was the one who had gotten caught.

Richie doesn't like to drink to excess, and his first and only beer remains three quarters full. He's in mid-sip when tv overhead announces a preview for the upcoming gloat of the national manhunt for Seth Gecko coming to an end.

Instead of leaving like he knows he should, Richie stands from the table, tucks his glasses in his inner jacket pocket, and stalks directly for the cop leaning against the bar. The punch he throws at man's face is partially out of anger and partially to keep everyone distracted enough from the mugshots that are sure to follow. Looking back, he will see the fundamental flaw in his logic, but the thought of being unable to do so much as contact Seth for years dictates the force of Richie's fist toward Rust's jaw.

[The thing about Ostia was that it really wasn't hard to find people who weren't happy with how much land it had taken. The mercenary in their group hadn't been any of Farina's business (especially with how little he was getting paid in comparison to her), but the people who were coming at them with broken bottles were definitely something to be concerned with.]

[Maybe, it had partially been her fault. How was she supposed to know that saying "Lord Hector" would cause every brigand within five miles to come running? Okay, maybe she "shouted" more than "said," and maybe this area wasn't exactly known for being friendly towards Ostia, but really?]

[At any rate, it doesn't take long for her to come up with a weapon; for a mercenary of her caliber, these guys should be a piece of cake.]
