[ In reaction to Kanda's first question, Lavi only purses his lips. He assumes that it's hypothetical, but he still wants to give an answer, especially because he clearly said something incorrect. He would admittedly reveal that he has limited (more than a good amount of people at the Order, but still limited) knowledge, but would most certainly like to know more. He was always a difficult person to crack, and hell, he still is. If Kanda somehow permits it, Lavi has the time to prod him with personal questions at a later date. Right now, it would only create a tangent.

Despite the current tension between them, Lavi is thankful that Kanda hasn't moved yet. He's finding that he doesn't want to let go, and it's becoming rather difficult to keep himself from retightening the embrace. Not wanting to entrap the other and cause further frustration, he settles with placing his chin against his shoulder, the side of his face close to touching Kanda's. ]

Mm? You really think that's what my intentions are? [ There's a hint of surprise to his voice. Picking up women? That's always a sort of game, a distraction. No real emotion is involved there, just the occasional lust. Nothing more.

He can feel a knot tightening in the pit of his stomach as he mulls over his relationship with Kanda. It's deep, complex, and a nameless woman he finds pretty could never, ever compare to him. It's almost insulting to hear Kanda say such things. Isn't he aware that he is one of the people that Lavi is breaking his code for? Doesn't he know of the emotion turmoil and confusion that he helped bring about?

No, of course he doesn't. Lavi knows this. He inhales steadily as he composes his thoughts. ]

It's no fun here without you. [ The statement is a typical thing he'd say, but his voice sounds disheartened. It leaves a bad taste in his mouth, and he immediately knows that's not exactly what he wanted to say.

Perhaps it wouldn't hurt to be a bit more sincere. ]

I like being with you. So, if you wanna go home, let's go home.
