The dude had a goddamn crossbow. More than that, he'd bailed her out of a tight spot, totally saved her bacon, if she was being honest with herself, which she did try to do, especially these days.

She just hadn't expected she'd be able to help him out in turn, since he'd gotten turned around thanks to the way the river doubled back. It had been years since she'd played Apache Tracker, but she'd managed to lead him back to the encampment -one that she had previously been staying away from- but that was where he wanted to go.

She hadn't expected that he'd actually bring her inside, and by the time she realized it, it was already too late to turn around and head back into the woods.

[Kagami stretched his feet inside the skates, toes and ankles already aching. The damn things were too small, but not enough to prevent him from shoving them on anyway. The rink seemed small too. Not in that way where he was taller than something was designed for, but as he skated circles around it, the boy could remember the expanses of clean shining ice that would pop up in America during the winter.

It was equally crowded though, and Kagami had to bury his hands in his pockets and hold his elbows to his sides to avoid bumping into the other skaters. Kids blew past him, screaming in competition and falling to the ground with smiles on their faces. He tried to return one's grin, but he must have looked scary, because the kid scrambled off immediately.

Skill levels varied of course, and Kagami wasn't by any means an expert, but he could stay upright and circle the arena. Watching kids fall was one thing, but seeing adults struggling and laughing and helping each other was a bit embarrassing to watch. Still, it was preferable to pathetic guys who couldn't even stay on their feet. The wall was a crutch for many, and as Kagami slid by a familiar face, he realized that the guy he'd been avoiding watching for sake of avoiding second hand embarrassment was none other than Aomine Daiki. Before his brain could catch up (did it ever?) Kagami slowed his pace and spoke.]

Oi. You alright? [He couldn't help but cock a bit of a smirk, though his intentions and question was honestly pure with concern. Kagami's heart just happened to leap a bit, seeing such an unstoppable force staggering around on some ice.]

[ Thea's gazing out the window, watching the rain come down in buckets. The parking lot outside is already starting to flood somehow, quickly gathering nearly an inch of water. The thunder is rumbling and the lightning is flashing and there's a flash flood alert showing up on her phone. The wind is howling, making the walls of the club creak. She's surprised that the electricity hasn't kicked it yet, honestly.

She turns away from the window, facing Iris with an apologetic look. ]

I hope you didn't have any pressing matters to attend to because there's no way you're leaving Starling tonight.
