Oh, this person has really done it now! Whether you usually get along like peas in a pod or like cats with their tails tied together, at this moment, you two are really, really arguing. You're hurt, you're angry, you're infuriated! You hate them - but actually, you hate that you love them, because feelings have been growing and shaping up for some time. All this tension, all this anger, it's all about to come to a head.

So you do the most natural thing in the world: you kiss them.

It's one part getting them to shut up, one part instinct, and one part admitting your feelings. Still, you're not thinking. You're just going on adrenaline.

...that won't stop reality, though, and after the kiss is over, you may just have to fess up about what made you pull (or drag) them in and pucker up.

[ It had started just like any other day. Yuri had some silly mission for them in the morning, then they had dinner at the end of it like they hadn't just broken every possible rule that they could in the most overly complicated manner they could come up with to participate in a school event. They won, but got disqualified for breaking the rules somehow.

Yuri wasn't exactly sure, but something Hinata had done earlier while talking to one of the other teams' participants and really ticked her off, so basically everything Hinata had been saying during the post-mission meeting was getting cut off or shut down. Most of the SSS members seemed to pick up on the fact that they needed to talk privately and vacated the area, dragging the more oblivious members with them until Yuri was pointedly ignoring Hinata while she worked on something on her laptop to the point of calling him back if he tried to leave then just flat out ignoring him after that point. ]

because there's certainly no lost love between them, after years and years of bare civility, and at best, grudging cooperation. but there's definitely chemistry of the explosive sort, and sometimes when all factors are in place and the two of them collide in close proximity for too long, they end up grinding each other's gears. spinning them uselessly and throwing off sparks.

well, mukuro would claim that he only does it to annoy shouichi. "it" being stepping closer until they're toe-to-toe, though not eye-to-eye-- irie shouichi's always been lacking in the height department, and mukuro takes full advantage of it, looming over him with his mouth curved up, but it isn't a smile. more like a baring of teeth if anything. ]

I hope you've never gotten the false impression that I particularly enjoy your company.
