Not every relationship has to be ridiculously world-shattering and universe-encompassing. Sometimes, two people can simply enjoy each others' company and enjoy that little fluttering in their stomachs when they're together.

That's the case for you two. It's dating, having fun, pure and simple. Of course, the catch is, your relationship is actually so simple that it's below the radar. No one knows about it except for the people involved. Maybe you guys are just private like that; on the other hand, it may be a necessity to keep things a secret from others. Maybe you're both team mates, and others on the team would give you grief, or you're not suppose to be dating, or you're not the type to usually date and you're only testing the waters. Perhaps it's the combination of you two, possibly an odd couple, that would bring some controversy or some teasing. Or, you know, you could not want to deal with friends and relatives being busybodies. Your reasons are your own.

Are you content with stealing moments to be together as a couple? Do you want to make your relationship known and the fact that you can't drives you batty? Remember, there are lots of benefits to dating in secret. You can be yourselves completely, away from prying eyes, and get to know each other better as potential longterm romantic partners. After all, you're not at that stage quite yet.

[Seeing another agent is one thing -- it's not, strictly speaking, the best idea, but it's not entirely forbidden -- but seeing Natasha, of all people, is another. Natasha is practically the definition of a secret girlfriend (girlfriend, still a new enough word in this situation that it makes Jemma blush furiously) and she's got good reasons to be.

And given their lives, they can go days, weeks without seeing each other, without hardly talking. So getting a night alone is exciting. Perhaps too exciting, as Jemma's currently sat at a table in the back of an Italian restaurant rather done up (hair, heels) waiting for Natasha's arrival and feeling like she's gone overboard.]

[It seems Lucas is forever destined to wind up dating blonde Yanks. This would be somewhat alarming, except, well, he can't bring himself to be that alarmed. Emma is a Sheriff, not a spy, and they certainly do not talk shop when they're together, which eliminates the possibility of her milking him for information and setting him up to be her patsy when she does something as colossally stupid as attempt to spark a nuclear war between Pakistan and India.

He's not bitter about Sarah, not at all.

One of the reasons their relationship is so...nebulous, is that Lucas hardly ever manages to make it out to Storybrooke, what with being based in London. But when he does manage to find his way back to the States, he always tries to make a point to go see her, even if they just meet up in a bar.

She's already sitting there, waiting for him when he arrives, and so Lucas doesn't bother to even hang up his coat before he slides onto the stool next to her, his hand settling on the curve of her spine for a brief moment before sliding away.] Hey. For all the insanity that her life could encompass (You know how it is: Dark Elves, Gods, your boss being whisked off and away at different intervals to weird dimensions and you never hear from her), Darcy was actually pretty grateful for this.

Her hand entangled their fingers together as they walked along, her head already resting on a shoulder. They didn't really need to worry about people poking their noses into their business; their dates were so low key anyway that no one was even aware they knew each other.
