There's nothing in this world quite like a true, blue best friend that you can rely on. They've been with you through thick and thin, good and bad. You want to have fun? They're the first person you look for, because they always know how to bring the best out in you. You need a shoulder to cry on? Don't worry, they're already here. You need to bury a body? ...you should probably reconsider your priorities, but you know your best friend will be there with a shovel and a smile. You'd never ruin this friendship for ANYTHING in the world. Something's brewing that may do just that, though. One of you has feelings, has for a long time, and that spells trouble. Unless you keep that to yourself and remain platonic, of course. Repression in this case might be a good thing. Only it's too late. The cat's out of the bag, whether it's by confession or by accident. What to do, what to do? If feelings aren't returned, can you turn down a friend, or will you force something that isn't there just to make them happy? If feelings are returned, will you risk changing the perfect thing you have? Comment with your character, canon, preferences, and which side you may want to play. IE, the one with feelings, etc. Also, mention if you'd like things to be more fluffy or more tragic. Respond to others. Assumed CR and AU it up if need be.

Things are somewhat normal now, though different from how they'd been weeks ago. It's been nearly a month since removing the Mark from Dean, since Castiel had used the last of that stolen grace to heal what he could. It had still left a scar, but it was better than the worst possible scenario he had been anticipating. Now, it's about moving forward and trying to find some semblance of regularity in their routine, and aside from the occasional days Castiel disappears to be on his own, he's more or less moved into the bunker with them. It's different than before, settling into human life far easier than the last time, but he and Dean still skirt around one another, the tension pulled tight enough to hurt. Castiel thinks Sam might have commented on it once, when they'd been researching for a case, but he'd been so lost in keeping himself awake that he hadn't given it enough substance.

Now, awake at night, he has no choice but to think about it.

They haven't had a real conversation since before everything had happened, and Castiel lays in his bed, looking at the ceiling and contemplating why. They hadn't been terribly busy, no more than usual, and nothing they did was a real excuse as to why they tended to avoid one another. He rolls over and squeezes his eyes shut, an attempt to block the thoughts, but they filter in unbidden until he can't quite stand it anymore. So, he gets up and wanders the halls, heading directly for Dean's room and standing just outside of it before knocking lightly and letting himself in. It doesn't mean he's inside, it never does, but at least he could wait for him.

Bucky enters the tent without permission, just a flurry of movement when he shoves the flap aside. He knows who's in here and the guy sure as hell doesn't need to be telling Buck whether or not he can enter.

"Got the latest and greatest," he announces, waving a few new issues of Captain America and a pinched chocolate bar. "Flipped through 'em. You're not in it." Yeah, that's a satisfied smirk on his face. It's always a competition to grab as much panel time as Cap and the rest of the "adults" in the group. He tosses them over at Toro and then comes to sit down beside him, splitting the chocolate bar in half wrapper and all.
