AUs are a magical place where anything can happen. But in these AUs, what is happening happens to be mundane as shit.

Have you ever spent your time thinking about what your characters would be like if they happened to work at a coffee shop? Or perhaps what it would be like if your cast all happened to be part of a small town festival committee?
(I know you have, because these questions burn the soul.)

So here's how it goes:

1.) Make a tag with your character.
2.) Tag other people's character with a mundane au.*
3.) Have ridiculous Mundane AU fun
4.) ????
5.) Profit Mundanely

[ Peter's had a long fucking day.

Like, seriously long. Like, wow, what the hell, why are people/work/existence a thing? long, but that's sort of what you get when you work customer support, and especially the sort of thing that happens when you agree to take on someone's shift for the next couple of weeks. (It's a shitty job, sure, but it's the only thing he's managed to land.)

On days like these, he tends to treat himself by dropping into the bookstore near the call center and not quite staring at the hot chick behind the register (who he's, like, 75% sure actually owns the place). But he might as well be. Staring, that is. Admittedly, it's borderline stalkerish, and sometimes he thinks, Wow, Quill, way to be creepy as fuck, but he always at least buys something and stays out of her hair. Sometimes he grabs a tea or a coffee from the simple setup they have in the corner. More often he buys a randomly chosen book that had an interesting cover.

(He has a lot of books collecting dust on a shelf in his apartment.)

With the extra shift he's taken, he arrives a scant half hour before the store closes. He buys a coffee for himself, grabs a book at random (ah, crap, he pulled another poetry collection), and sits down at a table.

-- And promptly passes the hell out.

It has been a long day, after all. ]
