If he were able to, Lexaeus would almost say the atmosphere in Never Was is rather pleasant today.
And as pleasant as it can be with the constant downpour, that now resembles more of a springtime drizzle than a hollow winter morning. He reasons that the only logical backing for these thoughts must be from today's progress - bountiful research in Agrabah and a respectable collection of hearts from their newly minted XIII. All excellent signs of results to come, though he must admit he pushed himself further than usual for such achievements. It would take years of training to get used battling under the unrelenting heat in Agrabah's deserts...a challenge possibly worth taking for his own gain, to balance out the frequent chill in Never Was.
But for another day. His only mission now is to swap a little munny with the resident Moogle for a thirst-quenching potion, and return to his room without any disturbances to the others.

Blake sprawled comfortably in one of the preposterously huge plush chairs littering Uncle Sarkoff's palace library, legs skewed to keep him from sliding off, bandaged arm tucked against his side, and uninjured arm holding an old book of poetry before him. He wasn't really focusing on reading, for once.
He was still grinning like an idiot, in fact, even hours after his 'arrival'.
Mind, launching himself through a window probably hadn't been the wisest choice of entrance, but it had done the job admirably, he thought. He was still alive, obviously, and hadn't been thrown out, even more obviously. But the most important result had nothing to do with those, and that was what distracted him from his reading. It didn't matter that he had to wait for the medical wrapping to set properly over his shoulder before he could go and disturb Avon's sleep - without secrecy, for once, but even that was hardly tantamount to what pleased him the most. He grinned even more widely at the words he wasn't paying attention to; the hand of his injured arm came up to toy absently at the new weight of the custom-forged oath pendant at his throat, and his heart swelled near to bursting before he had to let go of it and gnaw excitedly at the edge of his thumb instead.
Nobody in the whole galaxy would understand how much more important the absence of something was in comparison to the presence of anything else, when it came to Avon. Only Blake understood; he hadn't even had to ask when he'd put those pendants round their necks.
Avon hadn't taken his off.
