Look Past the Blood on Your Hands

Look Past the Blood on Your Hands

Red's in your ledger or you're making your way towards a crimson page by your very nature. Did you simply do what you had to do in order to survive? No one could understand how you lived. That could be just what you tell yourself, though; really, you might have enjoyed your crimes. You're not proud of some of what you've done, no matter what, and there's a part of you that will probably never heal.

If you were someone else looking in, you'd never be able to stand looking at you, much less stomach you.

But someone does all of that willingly. They can look past the blood on your hands and the bad decisions weighing on your shoulders. It's you they care about, not your history. Actually, they may even love you, though you can't begin to fathom why.

  • Comment with your character, preferences, and whether your character is the one with guilt or past sins or the one looking past all that.
  • Reply to others.
  • Have fun.

[Ayato relaxed a bit even though Kaneki still hand his hand around his throat, his hand dropping from Kaneki's. It was amazing how Kaneki was actually admitting that Touka was weak. She had made the mistake to live side by side with humans, making an attachment with them. Did she not realize that if they knew what she was, the would abandon her and probably try to kill her? Such stupidity that had lead their father to such a fate.

Not to mention the food she had to eat was disgusting. What a miserable existence. Why did they have to do that, when they were stronger than humans? Didn't that make them better? It did. It made them the superior ones. This he was sure of.

At his last statement, Ayato snorted softly. It was true, even though Kaneki had broken 103 of his bones, Ayato still agreed. Though the first time Kaneki had asked it ended with Ayato practically throwing him out a two story window. A month after Ayato ended up showing up at Kaneki's door step and saying yes.
]

It's probably the fucking stupidest thing I've done in my entire fucking life. [Despite the cuss words in it, there was no sign of agression. Even a small smile appeared on his lips, not a grin, sneer or smirk. It was an actual smile.]

no worries! I'm just as late--University Exams were brutal.

[There was no way he could live like that. Pretending to be human after absolutely everything human about him had been plucked out and removed by force. How Touka could manage it was impressive in and of itself--but that sort of life.

That sort of life just wasn't something he could adjust back to. He'd tried. He'd tried, and he'd nearly gone mad in his attempt. No, life with Ayato was better. It was bitter; in a lot of ways, but it was better than pretending.

His fingers settle a little more against the others' neck, his fingernails scraping up against the back of it, pushing up and into tangled, dark locks of hair. Settling there.]

...Aa. It was stupid. [He agrees readily enough, his eyes half-lidded now as his forehead meets the others', a mix of white hair with the rabbit's darker locks.] ...But I was just as stupid to offer you that chance, too. And here we are.

Eeek, have any high hopes for the grades at least?

[Normally Ayato would probably pull away when Kaneki did public affection like this, not one for prying eyes or someone from Aogiri spotting them. But today or at least for now, Ayato was feeling at least a tiny bit affectionate. Which was shown by how he lightly relaxed into it. It was probably the first time he was actually returning Kaneki's public display of affection, perhaps if Kaneki even squinted a bit, he may see Ayato's smile widen ever so slightly.]

You were even more stupid for saying yes even though I threw you out a fucking window...
