scenarios;

① fuck the police, this is the best time for a walk. hope you've got a nice thick coat on.

② stranded in the buttcrack of nowheresville? weren't you watching the time? now you've gone and missed that last bus out of there. or maybe you're lost, somehow. what do?

③ literally chilling, in this weather, is quite easy to do. sitting around relaxing in it is a wee more difficult, but sometimes much more enjoyable, especially if shelter can be found. the snow is beautiful to watch, after all.

④ the weather's not going to stop you. your snow fort's packed full of ammo and ready to go. those aren't snow angels over there; they mark where the poor souls you've downed have fallen. be careful with that snowman's head!!

⑤ you're about fifty miles from civilization but there's a roof over your head, so never mind the chilly draught, right? right. you mightn't be the only one lucky enough to stumble upon this little shelter, though. remember to share the blanket.

⑥ everyone stuck outside should be jelly. you've got a fireplace and hot cocoa and damn if it isn't awesome. a heater's not quite so romantic, but it'd do. there'd better be a backup generator in case the power trips.

A walk in the snow can be fun for a while, especially if you're properly bundled up and your boyfriend seems distracted from any antics you might be up to.

And Billy is up to something.

He had trailed a few steps behind so it wouldn't be so obvious when he gathers up some snow in his hand, discreetly packing it into a ball. And hopefully, Loki wouldn't notice said ball coming right at his head until it was too late.

Because sometimes just forgetting about everything weighing on you as a superhero and a god of mischief and acting like a couple regular teenagers can be fun.

Snow in Skyhold surprised no one. What did surprise them was the Hero of Ferelden out in the middle of the snow covered courtyard with his son. The two of them were hurling snowballs at each other, laughing and shouting. The only thing missing from the scene was a mabari leaping and playing with them.

Eventually, all the noise drew the attention of other people. One of the Inquisitor's inner circle, a blond elf woman, was the first to join them. Aedan and Kierian instantly joined forces against her. So, she gathered some mercenaries to help her. Aedan recruited a drawven scout and a few passing guards.

It was a proper snowball war now and it lasted for a good long time before Aedan cried uncle and stumbled away, shaking snow out of his hair and his cloak. He was flushed and laughing, leaving his son to his fate in the war.

Abso-fucking-lutely nothing. Everything awful came with snow; it chilled to the bone, dregged up memories of home, and let her anything but a happy camper. But here on this frozen wasteland of a planet was where she'd found work and here she would stay until her job was completed.

It was a hunt this time. She was good at those, actually. Might have something to do with the predator in her... Either way, she'd had an unsuccessful first run and come back to the ( for lack of a better word ) sparse accomodations. However lacking her humble abode may have been, it was still a roof over her head that protected against the windchill factor of below fuck if I know. Thank the gods she was practically resilient to freezing temperatures.

Sleeping is kind of out of the question - beyond dozing for a few moments - but she still makes her best attempt at a sleeping quarters. ( read: burrioting herself up into a blanket with a pillow nestled between her upper back and the wall ) It's actually not half bad -- until some asshole decides to barge into her cabin.

The snow has been falling pretty steadily for days now, and finally it's let up, only the lightest of flurries this morning, tapering off into clear-ish skies through the afternoon, and in that time, Peter has been perfecting his snow-fort to the point that would make Rem Koolhaas proud. It's a fortified structure with minimal design flare but it's definitely high up on defense levels.

All he's gotta do now is test it out.

Which is why he'd texted Kate an hour ago with a vaguely cryptic message to meet him here - and to bundle up. He's got a pile of snowballs already prepped and ready to go.

[Normally Glacius is a lot more reclusive, but when the snow really starts to fall so heavily his wandering patterns tend to expand in an effort to see as much of his surroundings transformed by the clean white slate as possible. The way it piles on the branches and rocks and covers the barren earth is all so beautiful to him, and the freezing embrace of the lowering temperatures provides him with some sorely-missed comfort that he simply can't get in other seasons.

Given that, it's not rare to see him out and about in this kind of weather--though it might be easier for anyone not familiar with his icy frame to miss or be confused by his alien appearance given how he blends in more with all the ice and snow, how the sunlight plays and glimmers off of his body as he moves. Right now he's just perched up on a flat rock, arms folded underneath him, head held up and eyes closed to enjoy the feeling of the thick flakes falling and getting absorbed into his skin. It's a look of contentment more transparent than he usually gives off, but then again, it's hard to not let happiness bleed through when he's quite literally in his element. Though he normally keeps to himself he certainly wouldn't protest company at the moment; particularly not from someone he's come to regard as a close friend.]

[ The Hunger Games are never any event to look forward to, but fortunately, when they are over, the entirety of Panem seems to breath a collective sigh. He does not fancy leaving his district, but there is a Capitol patron who has requested his unique skills, who has decided to experience the exotic life of a middle class holiday. The Hunger Games weren't so far away, and he'd need loyal sponsors for his tributes. The 75th would be no easy task (though if he knew what was to come, he'd not even bother).

He's glad it's cold, though, the snow coming down thick, it makes him feel a little less dirty, because he never feels content with what he's been made to do. A prize darling of the Capitol.

He's made his way to the Victor's village though, and he'll soon be knocking rather intently on one specific victor's door. May as well enjoy his time here while he can. The train would be calling for him soon enough. ]
