HELP ME PLEASE! the meme

HELP ME PLEASE! the meme

We all have something we either can't do, or can't do alone. Luckily there's a meme for that.

HOW TO PLAY

○Post with your character.  Don't put their name and canon in the header.  Instead put something that they don't know how to do and would like to learn, or something they might want help or practice with.

examples: I can't swim • I need to clean this whole house so I can go to a ball and seduce a prince • I'd like to practice throwing pitches with someone

○Look around the meme! If you see someone that you think your character can be of some help to... tag them!

Usually I try and go somewhere they're not, but that's trickier to do than you might think. Have you seen the size of some of their cities? They're all so big!

The only one I've really seen is Val Royeaux. It's so crowded with buildings--you'd think they'd get tired of living on top of one another.

I saw the walls of Kirkwall, too, but that was years ago.

It's like that in Kirkwall, too. Everything's so crowded there! Even the Alienage is crowded. You can't go two feet without running into someone else, I swear. I don't know how they stand it, some days.

I've never visited an alienage, but they sound horrible. I don't know how elves can live in such a small place.

It- They say you get used to it, in time. I'm not so sure you ever do. Not in the way they think you will. And... I'm not helping, am I?

[Listen to her, she's making it sound awful. She should fix that.]

Really, it's not all bad! There's good things in the city, too.

Well, I'm not going to live in an alienage any time soon, so I guess it's not really hurting.

What do you like about cities?
daisytwine: (yes)

Oh! Well, there's these enormous gardens in Kirkwall, for one thing, and they're really very pretty, even if the guards there look all cross when they find you in them. And the singing in the Chantry is lovely, although I can't figure out the lyrics there.

What about you? Is there anything you liked in Val Royeaux?

Chantry songs do sound nice. Before we went to Skyhold, we were in a place called Haven, and we did all our work in the chantry. You could listen to the sisters sing while you worked, and that was...I don't know about the Maker, really, but the singing was nice.

In Val Royeaux, the doors are shaped like...if you took a shortbow and bent it as far as you could. Round at the top. And everything is painted bright blue, like water. And I have a--a friend, one who's spent a lot of time there. When I see it, it reminds me of her, and that makes me like it more.

It's a bit repetitive, isn't it? The singing, that is. And the story it tells...well. It's nice, but it's got a few holes in it, don't you think?

The doors in Val Royeaux do sound pretty, though. And a place that reminds you of your friends is always good. There's some places in Kirkwall that remind me of a friend of mine and I wind up feeling like that, too. It's good to have things like that. Places and- well, never mind that. I'm Merrill, by the way. I don't think I mentioned, earlier.

I think every story must have holes after hundreds and hundreds of years. But I don't like it quite as well as stories of Mythal.

Oh! I'm Thayes, of clan Lavellan. It's...really nice to meet you. To talk to another elf who's, well. Dalish.

What places remind you of your friend?
