We all have something we either can't do, or can't do alone. Luckily there's a meme for that.

HOW TO PLAY

○Post with your character.  Don't put their name and canon in the header.  Instead put something that they don't know how to do and would like to learn, or something they might want help or practice with.

examples: I can't swim • I need to clean this whole house so I can go to a ball and seduce a prince • I'd like to practice throwing pitches with someone

○Look around the meme! If you see someone that you think your character can be of some help to... tag them!

Try very hard not to grind your teeth. Sten did that a lot. I don't think it was good for him. Um. Maybe retreat into a happy place. You know. In your mind?

Is Sten an elf? It doesn't sound like a Dalish name.

A memory that makes you happy. Like, say...for me, it's a library. Books from floor to ceiling. Whenever I start to feel the urge to set someone on fire, I go there.

Oh, no, Sten's a qunari. But he was in a similar boat. Dumb humans to the left, stupid humans to the right.

That's a lovely thought. I suppose mine would be the top of a tree.

Oh! I see. The only Qunari I know has a very un-Qunari name; I'm not used to the ones whose names are actually...well, Qunari-ish.

Yes! A place like that! You just kinda concentrate on all the feelings that place makes you feel and it's easier to deal with irritating people.

I didn't know it when I first met Sten, but they don't have names, just titles. Or not even titles? More like, functions?

I think I might have to pick a different one, then. It's a clever idea, thank you.

Bull said something like that. It must be strange, being known as your job.

That's what I said, too, but he came back with something like, [She drops her voice to an approximation of Sten's deep bass tones] 'And yet they call you Warden.' I didn't really have a response to that, because, well, he was right.

But you probably get tired of it when people talk to you like all you are is a title. I know I do. I'm not sure the same is true of the Qunari.

That's true, it's not exactly the same situation, at least my friends use my name.

...Not that I have that many, but in theory.

Even one can be enough.

So where did you meet a Qunari?

[itwasharrowing]

He was being held prisoner during the Blight in a little spit of a town called Lothering. They were just going to leave him in a cage and let the darkspawn have him. Even knowing what he'd done, that didn't sit well with me. Either give a man a clean execution or let him die on his feet, I thought.

And he said he wanted to atone, so I conscripted him. Sort of. We were supposed to stop a Blight, and there were three of us. Three. I needed all the help I could get.

[thayes]

Oh, Mythal! You're that Solona.

[Oh.]

Guess I should've figured it when you said you were a warden. [She's embarrassed, smiling awkwardly.] You know better than anyone, then, what it's like.

[itwasharrowing]

Oh, right, yeah. [She shrugs; it is not that big of a deal to her anymore. It was a very short Blight, most of Thedas has moved on.] That Solona would be me.

[She smiles back, not the least bit offended.] To have the weight of the world on your shoulders? I suppose I do, yes. That is, if you're the Inquisitor. If you're not, I'm about to be really embarrassed.

Well--I'm glad to meet you. Really. I've heard a lot about you from Leliana.

Got it in one. I'm that Thayes. It's...exhausting. And sometimes it feels like I've spent the last year making a fool of myself for nothing.

[itwasharrowing]

[Leliana's name brings out a big, warm smile.] She was one of my closest friends. She still is. I've been worried about her, I know Justinia's death must have hit her hard.

She won't be rude enough to beg for a better look at the Anchor, though her urge is strong. At heart, she's a giant nerd.] Maker's breath, I know how that feels too. It feels as though nothing you do is right, doesn't it? You just can't please everyone.
