We all have something we either can't do, or can't do alone. Luckily there's a meme for that.

HOW TO PLAY

○Post with your character. Don't put their name and canon in the header. Instead put something that they don't know how to do and would like to learn, or something they might want help or practice with.

examples: I can't swim • I need to clean this whole house so I can go to a ball and seduce a prince • I'd like to practice throwing pitches with someone

Let's start with something you're really afraid of.

And matters of the body are my own... obsession.

Yours is very nice, I'll have you know. Much nicer than my mind is, that's for absolute certain. It's a filthy place. Positively...

Really? I'd never have guessed. You do seem to have a very singular line of thinking.

Having a body people can't say no to is a very useful tool. If you're trying to deter me it's really not going to work. Sordid is wonderfully intriguing.

As is your utter lack of aversion to it. What is it that you do, that allows you such moral abandon?

What don't I do is perhaps the better question, dear. Only those that have lost their morals along the way enjoy the delicious darkness that lurks in minds of a nature such as yours. I'm hardly an angel, even if I do favour white. Such irony to be had.

I don't like to lose my morals. I happen to know exactly where they are, so I know precisely how far away I can stray from them before they're out of sight entirely.

[ A beat, a smile, and an offered hand. ]

People over the age of seventy-five refer to me as "dear". I'd prefer "Alan", from you.

I'll admit I've been rediscovering mine over the years. There are some deeds that were too disagreeable, even for my prediliction for debauchery. At least you understand there is grey in this world. Not just black and white.

[She took his hand before returning the smile.]

It's a habit, Alan. I apologise. I'm Emma Frost. My students tend to refer to me as 'Ms Frost', but I'll leave the choice to you.

I'm fairly certain there's more grey than anything.

[ He shakes her hand with a little squeeze, not letting go immediately afterward. ]

Emma will do just fine, for now. When we get to the "hot-for-teacher" roleplay that's indubitably going to come up at some point I'll be happy to refer to you as Ms. Frost, but.

[ One more little squeeze of her hand, before he releases it with a smirk. ]

[For once she didn't pull her hand away or give Alan any kind of death glare for hanging on.]

I feel as if I should remind you that no plans have been made without the roleplay just yet, but we are only getting to know each other.

[And it was one of her more favoured roleplays in the bedroom so he had her there. She arched an eyebrow just slightly before smiling again.]

You are one of the more interesting men I've met.

Either a lawyer or a whore. Most days I'm not sure which. Some days I'm fairly certain they aren't entirely different at all.

[ Though he does have a tendency to manage to whore himself out to people who he at least finds somewhat agreeable, so a selective whore at least. ]

I don't tend to pencil my sexual encounters into my agenda. I fear I may run out of lead if I begin to do so, but even if it isn't planned I still look forward to it. Whether it actually takes place between us, or simply in the sanctity - or lack thereof - of my imagination, it will happen all the same.

[ His eyes roam, briefly, in an unquestionably perverse manner. ]

[Her head tilted and she placed a hand on her hip as she cocked it. She really isn't above flaunting the body she worked so hard for.]

Do I get to know the details are you really going to keep it to yourself? I'm willing to overlook the man thing if you indulge my obsession.

I've managed to cling to the few remaining shreds somehow, in any event.

[ He watches her every move carefully, from the little touch of her hair to the movement of her hip. He's never made any secret of his appreciation of the female form, and he's clearly not about to begin disguising it now. ]

I do so enjoy... [ a pause, his eyes wandering again briefly ] ... indulgences, but asking someone about their true fears doesn't particularly strike me as a first-date sort of question.

I think we both do. I'm not the type to prosper with small talk. I find the deep end much more to my liking, however if we must start with the superficial I suppose I should be asking you something ridiculous like what your starsign is or if you like long walks on the beach.

Rivers, moreso than beaches. I've acquired a taste for salmon fishing in recent years.

[ He clasps his hands loosely in front of himself, lips quirking a bit to one side. ]

And what if one of the things I fear is equally ridiculous? Like, say... clowns, for instance. Ridiculous by definition.

That is one thing you can continue to on your own. I can't say it's a hobby I wish to pursue but whatever keeps you... sane.

[She lifted an eyebrow in question before shrugging a shoulder.]

And incredibly common so it's not as if you're alone in that fear. Nothing to be ashamed of. Clowns are quite off-putting with their constant attempt to appear cheery. A sad clown is worse as it is such a walking contradiction. I don't know that I'd think less of you for such a fear.

Mm.

[ He presses his lips together in thought for a moment, determining just how much he was willing to let slip to a relative stranger. ]

Clowns unsettle me, I confess, but I think the one thing truly worth fearing above all else is being alone.

[The truth was she could get it from him one way or another but she was trying to be polite and ask for the information. It was refreshing to see it work, to see someone willing to part with such a personal piece of information.]

Ah, now we're getting somewhere. Would you like to know a secret, Alan? It's a fear I don't often acknowledge but one I carry. Have carried since being a child.

[ Alan, for all his sleaziness and occasionally twisted ways, made a habit of wearing his heart on his sleeve from time to time. It's not like this is something she can really use against him, he figures, so what's the harm? ]

Loneliness is one of the most draining sensations, in my eyes. To have all the burdens that life brings and no one to help you move forward with them or help shrug them off, it's...

[ A little shake of his head, a wave of his hand. ]

Perhaps since we share similar concerns, we should alleviate each other's fears for a night. You know. For our health.

[The amusement showed in her eyes as did her approval of the way he handled himself. Sleaze she could deal with and know how to see past it - or encourage it.

Emma took a step forward, fingers dancing down the sleeve of his jacket.]
