you love spending time with your significant other. but sometimes, just "spending time" with him/her isn't enough. you need to have your hands on each other every now and then.

one; hugging. you just want to give your loved one a warm embrace. be it out of happiness, to comfort them while they're down, or just to give them something warm to latch onto, you just want to wrap your arms around them.

two; kissing. whether it's a peck on the cheek or a deep kiss, a kiss good-bye or a romantic kiss, you find yourself compelled to kiss the other person! be as tender or as passionate as you so choose.

three; holding hands. it's a simple gesture, really -- to reach out and take someone's hand. but that one simple gesture can convey any number of sentiments. what the sentiment is, is up to you, but you find yourself reaching out to take your significant other's hand.

four; carrying. is your loved one hurt and needs a lift? do they want a piggyback ride? or do you just want to spare them the effort of walking? whatever the reason, you're now itching to pick up your partner and carry them to their destination.

five; i love you. you've said it before or maybe you haven't but now you have to say it again or for the first time.

six; dancing. kick up the music, because it's time to dance! but no lone dancing allowed -- you need to have a partner! you can do whatever dance strikes your fancy. personally, i recommend the slow dance, but you can do whatever you want!

seven; massaging. did your significant other have a rough day? did they get hurt? or do you just feel like doing something really nice for them? whatever it is, you're giving them a nice massage now. they'll feel wonderful in no time!

eight; flirting. the easiest way to break the ice or maybe you're just an overly flirty person.

nine; cuddling. sometimes there's just no better feeling than curling up next to each other on a warm sofa. hold each other, lie next to each other, fall asleep on each other -- it's all good here.

[ really, all things considered, hawke is should count himself blessed.

... maybe not about the arrow that had caught him in the thigh while their group was attempting to clear out a fresh batch of slavers on the wounded coast, maybe not about the fact that they'd burned through their supplies of health potions and elfroot earlier that morning, and definitely not about the fact that they'd left anyone with any healing ability back behind in kirkwall for this little expedition. but! what hawke does have is fenris, who: 1) feels that he owes hawke a fairly steep debt of gratitude, 2) is in a fairly magnanimous mood thanks to the bloody deaths of the slavers they'd been hunting, and 3) wields a broadsword that gives him a fair amount of practice in the art of lugging around things that are far too heavy and tall for him.

so they'd wrapped the injury on hawke's thigh as tightly as they could to stop the bleeding, and then merril and varric had taken joint positions as their vanguard to clear the path ahead of any lingering bandits. meanwhile, fenris has one of hawke's arms slung around his shoulders, bracing his weight as much as possible whenever the other man is forced to step on the injured leg. it's slow going, and not exactly the most elegant picture, but at least they're making fair progress back towards the city walls.

... as long as hawke doesn't bleed to death before they can limp back down the coast, the plan is working great. ]

[It's shortly after the opening of the third island, and everyone has dutifully been running around checking the place out, Chiaki included. Being the Ultimate Gamer, however, is not conducive to developing much endurance or leg strength beyond playing rhythm games, and it's not as if Jabberwock Island has any of those anyway.

So after a while of thoroughly searching the island for clues, Chiaki finds herself exhausted and sore and decides to take a load off at the hospital. Leg muscles aside, it's really her feet that are killing her right now - the mary janes she wears are cute and all, but they don't work so well for heavy physical activity. And so, thinking that she's the only one there, she makes her way into one of the patient rooms, slipping out of her shoes and stockings and wincing a bit as she rubs at her sore feet.]

[Relaxing times were few and far between for them on the island. It was all too easy to let what moments they did have be overshadowed by the bad. They definitely had to take those opportunities when they could get them. That's why she chose to spend that afternoon with Gundam in the park. It was anything but ordinary, but for her it was very precious time. They talked about all manner of things; some ridiculous and some more mundane, but she was never bored.

It was a warm afternoon, and perhaps she allowed herself to become a little too relaxed. For a moment, they had fallen into a comfortable silence and all too quickly she felt her eyes becoming heavy. Her head drooped on his shoulder and slowly, she began to lean into him, her body resting against his on the bench.

The truth was that it was only a few minutes before she stirred, but she had no idea how long she was out. Moreover, she was surprised to realize that she had unknowingly used him as a pillow.]
